High Rep Squats

Basically, I'm doing Rippetoe's SS as a basis of my workout.

I do deadlift and squats every workout (day 1, 3, 5). And other great compound exercises. I still add Isolation exercises because I feel better doing them and I'm not a beginner.
However, at the moment, I lift at home and don't have a power rack. I'm going uni soon, so, there's no point me joining a gym or buying a rack.

The question is, will high rep Squats still be a good exercise for Mass? I'm talking 15-20 reps with a lighter weight- seeing as I can't lift anything too heavy over my head on to my neck.

I can still do the deadlifts heavy. Although, I feel more sore when I do higher reps with them too.

Any advice would be great here. Thanks.

Single leg squats would be a good alternative to explore in your temporary situation.
Use the tools of the trade to help you. I use devices such as chalk for grip strength, gloves, wrist straps, lifting belts - if it helps you lift more, it's all good. - Ronnie Coleman, Hardcore, 2007 Triumph Books

Biggest question in bodybuilding: Whaddaya bench? As I've said before, it doesn't matter how much you bench; it matters how much you look like you bench... There's no round on stage that's the benchpress round. - Bob Chicherillo, World Class Physique, CMG
