My Power Button Broke

I was installing a hard drive in my old compaq and I accidently broke my power button and the bracket that holds it. Luckily I had a extra button from an old build I used but now as you can see in the pic it's just hanging like that. I posted this pc on craigslist and in your opinion I just want to know would this make the rate of selling my pc higher or lower? I really need the cash to get on with a new build. Any answer would be appreciated

I'm guessing it will bring the price down A LOT since whoever is buying it probably doesn't know how to fix it. You can always buy a $40 case and swap everything into there. By doing that you can raise the price by $40 since it looks "cool" and brand new.

If you put two computers in front of someone, one with top of the line hardware but in a ****ty computer case, and then another one with an amazing case with lights and ****, but with old hardware, they would probably choose the latter since it just looks cooler. This is assuming they know nothing about the computer and base how good one is on how it looks (Macs).

Damn lol. Thanks for your help dude. I understand what you mean but that's the main reason I want to sell this pc lol. It's too outdated to upgrade the case. Maybe I'll look into craigslist for a cheap case. thanks

If there are companies around you that do computer recycling they might have the bezel for the case. They might even let you have such a part for free or just a few bucks.

Yeah there's a recycling center somewhere around my town but it's so damn hard to find it. Anyways as a cheap fix with super glue I mounted it right where the floppy drive is. I think it looks a bit betta. Don't you think?
