Not a real big hockey fan myself, but DH is a die-hard Nashville Preds fan. He was SO proud that they made it to the second round of play-offs, he could hardly contain himself, LOL. But I think we're both rooting for Boston at this point

Huge fan here. Philly's my team. For the cup, I'm rooting for Boston. That team has great heart, and an even greater history.

A Stanley Cup final game hasn't been played on Canadian soil since 1987 (Oilers vs Flyers).

Yes. I know plenty of rednecks, I am not ashamed to be related to and be one, and they are not as bad as what I've heard went on last night...that's more like white trash (and around here, rednecks =/= white trash..at least not all the time) Some folks just take their sports waaaaaay to seriously

I agree. Those hooligans are no different than the lot who burned my beloved Bay Street during the G20. I like the word you used "bums"!

Alright, I'm going to stop before I get really carried away Sorry for the rant but nothing pisses me off more than sheeple
The R&P forum is that way -------------->
You'll like it there. Plenty of haterz who love to call Canadians "sheeple".

Well, in my defense, I posted that before the game.
And yes, it was disgraceful and disgusting. AGAIN.

I wasn't making the generalization that Canadians are sheeple. The flock are an international crisis that know no borders
There were two separate thoughts in my last post:
1) I dislike sheeple
2) I dislike the government-sponsored abdication of personal responsibility that is rampant in Canadian society
Both elements were present during the riots. Apologies if I didn't make that distinction clear.
The R&P forum here actually kinda sucks - too many rants, not enough logic and intelligent discussion. I do lurk there from time to time though
