My upper abs seem to be developing better than my lower abs

I'm starting to notice that my upper 2 abs are very well defined compared to the lower and middle 2 abs. I am currently doing abs monday, wednesday, and friday, with the following workout,

captains chair knee raises - 3x sets
cable crunches - 3x sets
flat bench leg raises combined with a hip raise - 3x sets
sideways crunches, burn out on both sides
cable crunches - 3x sets
captains chair knee raises - 3x sets

I'm wondering if alot of my workouts revolve around my upper abs or not? It just seems that when i flex my abs, and feel them, my upper ones are progressing alot better than the mid 2 and lower 2. Any input/advice would be good.

Probably more a body fat issue if anything. For a lot of people the lower part of the abs are the last things to show. So while it might appear that the upper abs are more developed it just has less fat covering.

Lower abs is always harder than upper simply because men tend to store fat around the midsection, and also genetically some guys just have a 4-pack even when sub-10% bodyfat. If the problem is fat, then don't worry. They aren't getting less development, just less exposure.

Biggest question in bodybuilding: Whaddaya bench? As I've said before, it doesn't matter how much you bench; it matters how much you look like you bench... There's no round on stage that's the benchpress round. - Bob Chicherillo, World Class Physique, CMG

i am not really referring to how my stomach looks, i will flex my abs and "feel out" my 6 pack with my fingers, and i can physically, not visually, tell that my upper abs are bigger than my lower ones

most people don't know how to train the lower abs and just end up training the hip flexors. do hip tucks and anything that is similar to that. also leg raises without the hip tuck at the end are completely fukking pointless.

Well telling from my point of view....at 16-18% BF i have 2 upper abs that you can see as plain as daylight....
Lower abs i can't see them, but they are there.....

I say it's a problem of getting your BF lower.

It's probably genetics too, but i would stick my neck and say that when you trained you had a bit of a bad posture and one side took more training than the other part. If you did heavy weighted exercises it might just be that.
If your body cannot handle it, make sure sheer willpower will.....

its a lot harder to get the lower abs to develop than the upper for a lot of people regardless of BF %.
