How much cardio should I do a week when trying to gain muscle?

I'm trying to gain muscle and i'm wondering how much cardio I should do a week. I want to know how much I should do to keep my fat gain at bay or if that's not possible at least slow down my fat gain while also not hindering my muscle gain in any way. Also for my cardio should I be doing HIIT? because I heard it was best for when you're trying to build muscle or should I just jog?

Between 0-234565 hours a week. Who cares, just eat more if you do decide to do it.

Cardio does not have a significant effect on fat loss, if any.

Do cardio if and only if you wish to improve your cardiovascular system's health, hence the name 'cardio.'

Doesn't it matter if you're trying not to gain a significant amount of fat while trying to build muscle?

Cardio will not prevent you from putting on fat with muscle, too much cardio will result in less overall gains though because you are burning calories and that will make it harder to end your day with a caloric surplus of 500+.

it does if you do it fasted for 1-2 hours at a time.

it's alot easier to cut out 500 cals though then waste energy on cardio.

So whether I did cardio or not I would still end up with the same results at the end of the day? Considering I stay within my +500 caloric surplus of course.

Yes, but burning a few grams of fat through a days' worth of cardio is useless, wasted effort. A few grams of fat simply doesn't make a difference.

Thats not true. Since I added more cardio to my week I've lost 16lbs of fat in just a few months. Cardio burns more calories and fat than lifting weights, but weights is where you get your muscle gain. So you should have a good balance of both.

weight lifting CAN burn more calories than cardio, it depends on the intensity of the workout..

You're wrong miss. the higher the intensity the more you'll burn.

Yeah when your doing something like supersets at a faster pace (aka cardio and weights at the same time), but w/ normal lifting usually not. I'm just going off of the things I've read and my personal experience. I don't 100% trust the things I read online, because everyone says something different. I could be wrong. I just know what worked for me.
