Hey guys, I've been panning through this website's forums and a lot of the members seem like they're trustworthy and willing to help, so with that being said I could use some help. I'm 16 years old and I have been taking NO Black Powder, (950% More Nitric Oxide), and at only 1 & 1/2 scoop after and even during my workout I noticed a terrible pain in the tissue around my heart, and it seems pretty serious. I went down to just 1 scoop, and same thing. 3/4 scoop, not so much, but still a lingering pain. I'm down to just 1/2 scoop, and it is so low I don't even feel the effects, yet am still feeling some pain. I am PRETTY sure it is the NO that is causing my heart to work harder, and not the caffeine/other stims. I'd still like a helpful opinion though, my friends have told me to get a pre workout without a lot of NO in it, so I was thinking about getting 1mr. Thanks guys!

Nitric oxide isnt to blame for this, its all of the stimulants in it. First of I would suggest to stop all use of stimulants ASAP, I would say it wont kill you but a very close friend of mine died because of his addiction to pre-workout supplements. This isnt to scare you, just to make you aware. What you're talking is basically caffeine with some trace amounts of other supplements in trace amounts, im sure you are "getting great results with it" but it would be no different then caffeine pills

What you need to do is stop taking the pre-workout and seek medical attention as to why you are getting these pains, because it is NOT normal. You may have a serious condition and it would benefit you if you see a specialist. The NO MAY be the cause of the pains, but the caffeine is also highly likely to affect your heart. I would stop taking any pre workouts till you know what is wrong.

Firstly, stop taking it immediately.
Second, avoid 1MR. Its still loaded with stimulants, and until you find out what's the cause of this pain, it would be vital to stay away from anything loaded with stimulants.
Third, waiting for mrcooper to chime in.I'll rep back all those who helped me turn green again. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
Cheers broski.

Agreed, stay away from stimulants if the pain is in fact in your chest only when you take the PWO. Seek medical attention as soon as possible for a full workup on your heart.

Thanks, but I did a moderate amount of research and I could be wrong, but caffeine can cause irregular and rapid heartbeat, but apparently NO is "the real cause" because it just causes the heart to work so much harder. I took Jack3d in January and was on it with only a few breaks and never had a problem, until near the end my heart started to hurt, and correct me if I'm wrong but Jack3d should have far less NO than this supplement. My friends, who are near the same age if not the same age as me, can take these products like nothing, 3 scoops of Jack3d, 1mr, Bullnox, etc. I am just so tired that I could use a pre workout, even though it is mental and I COULD suck it up, but it is so much easier with pre workout supps.

You are under the assumption that black powder would A. actually give you an increase in nitric oxide B. nitric oxide is something that OTC compounds can easily manipulate C. nitric oxide aids in muscular development.
I question the research you've down. Not trying to be an ass, I simply say that because someone is spreading misconception to you.
Read this, if you read the whole thing and have a question go ahead and PM me. But if you do really read this, it will answer your question and see what your real problem is.

But please do read this or head our advice, I cannot stand by and watch another young man like yourself who gets hooked into caffeine addiction like my late friend

Though most heart problems don't happen until later in life there have been cases earlier in life on some people. If a certain product causes you chest pain, move to another product if it doesn't cause pain at all. But in all honesty, I'd see a doctor before taking another PWO.

Wow.....I know you're in another country but try this anyway: go onto NHS direct's website. Put in your symptoms and frequency of 'em. Bang!! Flashing lights, big red letters 'CALL 999 (911), IMMEDIATELY'
Have lost a couple of mates over the years to latent heart disorders they didn't even know they had. Probably is the Pre-workout stims and nothing more serious, (NO explode used to make my heart flutter like there was a bird in there), but don't just guess that that's what it is. The NO could just be pointing you to something inherently worng in there that COULD be a ticking time bomb...
One of the fittest guys I ever knew just dropped down dead on the sports field. ECA hadn't helped an already existing condition that he was oblivious too, (or like you, maybe just ignoring). He'd still be here, fit as a fiddle now if he'd simply gone to see a doc........
No scare tactics - at least you've told someone, just not the right folks yet! (we might have good intentions but we ain't even close to qualified).

Do let us know of the results, it's good to see someone smart enough to check with a doctor first after problems, even if it's just something minor in the end, better safe than sorry. It is, after all, your life.
