Trying to Gain Weight- Help?
So I am 17 years old and I am about 5'4" and 105 pounds. I am tired of looking like the bony, skinny girl that I am used to looking at in the mirror. I want to try to gain at least 10 pounds. I am pretty sure I eat a lot and I exercise about 3 days a week. Lately I have been going to the gym a lot.
I really want to get some curves too and not be so skinny. Are there any ways to gain weight in my legs and butt?
Any suggestions are great. Since its summer, I will have more time to work towards my goal of gaining about 10 pounds. Thanks.

Eat more and lift heavy. Skip the cardio.
It's hard to give more specific info without knowing what your current caloric intake is and how much/what type of exercise you're doing.

Want more mass in your legs and butt: eat lots, lift heavy, and hope you've got high levels of estrogen (it helps fat go to the butt/thighs instead of the stomach). Lots of people here are trying to gain (I'm one of them), and it's completely possible to do so by getting enough food (with lots of protein) and hitting the weights hard (skip the cardio).

Well I have soccer practice about 3 days a week, an hour and a half long. I dont know how much calories I take in...
Thank you both! I will try that. I usually work on cardio mostly at the gym, so I will start lifting more weights.

At your age, playing sports, I'd be needing around 3000 calories a day - a lot of young women really under eat. Don't waste your gym time with cardio, get on a good lifting program like New Rules of Lifting for Women and figure out your nutrition needs.

Here is another rule of thumb that may help you gain weight
To calculate your ideal caloric intake follow the following formula which is your ideal body weight or your goal weight multiplied by 9 for women and 11 for men. This formula will help you reach your weight goals.
Females
Ideal body weight (lbs or kg) X 9 = ideal daily caloric intake
Males
Ideal body weight (lbs or kg) x 11 = ideal daily caloric intake
Where did you get this?^^
Let's say she wanted to weigh 120 lbs.
120 x 9 = 1080 calories
She's not going to gain any kind of weight on calories that low.
This formula is garbage...

i second what wp said.
mausi79 and i were separated at birth.
i don't believe in iifym (for physique purposes, yes, but for health and wellness, no), but i do believe you should seriously love every single thing you eat.

This formula doesn't even give me my BMR, much less factor in activity level.
