Can anyone tell me a great workout for the legs if you have a bad back? I have really bad genetics in my back (it runs in the family).

A "genetically bad" anything can be overturned. Are you saying that you have an injured/weak lower back?
550/385/655, 285 overhead press, 330 push jerk, 250 weighted dip, 190 weighted pull-up, 413.8 max weighted pull-up, 450 front squat, 365 RFESS, 305 x 2 log press, 400 (per arm) farmer's carry, 370 atlas stone, 31 pull-ups at 247.

My back hurts for long periods of time spent sitting, too. I hate that ****, but that's about having your body in that fixed position for that amount of time. No wonder why so many Americans feel lower back pain from sitting in cars/in front of computers 'til all hours.
