Is this a 'worm' in chicken?

Safe to eat it?

It's a nasty browni-sh little rod-shaped, shiny, thing. It looks like a worm to me. Is it safe to eat that chicken?

It's size is about 1-2 cm...

I have not yet eaten the rest of the chicken, should I do or not?

And it's alot of chicken, I poached the chicken for the week, so throwing it out will mean that I will throw out a lot of chicken..

Seriously though, it could be a worm, and you might not want to eat that chicken now, because of a mental block.....

However, as long as you cooked it well first, it almost certainly would not hurt you to eat it. I bet we would all be surprised, and grossed out, if we knew how many creepy crawlies (bugs, excrement, etc) slip past all of the guards, and ended up going down our throats..... yet we rarely get sick, and almost always survive.

Well, I'm going to be the first one to say I would NOT eat it. But creepy crawlies gross me out, especially in my food.
