    Boy isn't that the truth ^^^^ Do you ever see a woman, total stranger, co-worker, whatever and you can just tell she would be an awesome bodybuilder? Know what I mean? I have a friend who is fairly overweight. She came to the gym with me a few times and she just rocked it. I told her if she kept it up and got her nutrition down she would kill it. Even though she has a lot of flubba, she's got this great muscle base already and she doesn't lift nuthin ............. pretty much can't stand her
    Caring about what people think of you is useless. Most people don't even know what they think of themselves.

    Yeppers have a similar friend. Her muscles probably weight more than I do yet she does nothing and yes it's covered up by flubz too.

    As for the bodybuilding females and such, I agree with boomer that even if on the juice it still takes a lot of work and commitment to make it happen. It's not for me, but I wouldn't necessarily knock somebody for using, only if they lied about using it.

    I plan to be one of those few females that defies the odds genetically. I'm a work in progress, but if "naturals" can do it, I can do it too.

    I've seen DLB up close in person and she didn't look freakishly big at all. Now that was, what, 9 months ago. The pro bbing ladies certainly looked different than she did.

    OK talk to me. Last time I did bench ( a few weeks because I did that circuit last week and something else the week before) I did

    75/15
    110/5/5

    Tmrw I am thinking of trying 135 again...it's been a while! Not since I started the bulk.
    Smart? Not smart? Just stick with 5x5 for a while longer?
    What should my sets look like?

    Maybe shorten the first two sets to like 15 and 12 reps, possible do 3 sets of 110 at 5 and then go to the 135. If the first excercise is going well on chest, I might do 10 sets at whatever pressing movement that I am doing.

    Would you be trying to get a few reps at 135 or test your max?? If you're only testing your max then meh, kinda a wasted bench day IMO, maybe do 115 for 5x5 if that at 110 was easy for you last time. Keep up with that 5x5 long enough and you'll hit 135 for 5x5 easily judging by how easily you increase in OHP (you seem to be good at pressing.) Watch dat form dude, drill those traps into the bench, tuck your elbows, get tight, arch a lil, and try not to use your shoulders excessively. /form nazi

    5 x 5 is cool. I can never commit to it for very long though. Hobbes advide about bumping up to 115 for the 5 x 5 is probably better than my suggestion.

    Agree with Ham that if you are doing it for reps do the 115 x 5 x 5 but if you are testing do a couple of 115 sets before 135 test.

    She does it for 5 x 5 though. She probably could handle 135 for a couple at least if she did a set or two fewer.

    I've done 135 once. Slowest worst rep in the history of bench lol.
    In that case, bump up your 5 x 5 to 115. 135 is probably where you start having trouble with stabalization.
