last night I planned to have a sleepover at my friends(when i was actually going partying) and my mum told his parents "make sure he doesn't go out" lolol.

Wouldn't recommend that especially if you're trying to come across as being mature haha.
Have a talk with them. try to find out the REAL reason they won't let you out. Perhaps they've heard of freak stories from other parents of parties going bad? Clearly it seems like they're just worried for your welfare. Good thing too since they're your parents!
Try to convince them to let you go out. Don't whine to them, though as it won't get you anywhere. Just my 2 cents lol
Again, sounds a bit dumb that they wouldn't let you attend parties especially at your age.<<:::>> Founder, CMO, Researcher, & Writer at Spartan Supps. <<:::>>

Only reason you are partying is to drink/bang chicks, which is not what 17 year olds should be worrying about (at least that was why I did it when I was younger). Your parents are trying to make sure you don't **** up.
Looking back, I wish my rents knew more about what I was doing and held the leash a little closer. Prolly my dumb ass fault though.
Theres plenty of time to party after graduation, and preferably when you're legal age (sounds gay, but when you get a little older you will be saying the same thing). Theres no rush, you gotta realize that.

I see. Well i can't really give advice on how to deal with your mother on this particular issue other than to say that at some point she's going to have to let you go and do your own thing. Chances are, she's well aware of this fact and is probably dreading that day as she won't be able to 'watch over you and make sure you're safe' as it were. This is how I see it anyways. I may be wrong.
As for your dad and no drinking due to religious beliefs: Does drinking really matter that much to you? I mean, for example, will your friends treat you any differently if you don't drink because of it? They shouldn't really, especially if they're your friends. My friends and those I went/go to parties with are completely understanding both when i never drank (not for religious reasons. other personal ones they never and still don't know about.) and now when i don't feel like drinking.
Seriously dude, if you don't want to drink, then don't and/or if it'll make your dad happy, at least for the time being, don't do it. IMO Once you turn 18 or move out or whatever; make your own decisions and do as you please but still be respectful and mindful of your parents. When you're living under their roof, it's their rules so for the time being maybe try to come to an agreement of some sort with your parents.
That's my 2 cents and I hope this helps/makes sense. Good luck<<:::>> Founder, CMO, Researcher, & Writer at Spartan Supps. <<:::>>

I dont agree.
I dont go out and party to hook up with girls and drink. I have a girlfriend and i rarely ever drink. I go out to enjoy time with people i consider friends and just have fun. I go out a few nights a week and my mom doesnt mind, i also dont have a curfew. I've done a few not smart things, yeah, but ive learned from them and i think it build character.
If someone is mature enough, i think they should be aloud to go out and have a good time. What would be so wrong with going to a party and hooking up if he were smart about it?BANG BANG ALPHA GANG

If the 'I'm going to a friends house tonight' method doesn't work, I think you're f*cked OP. Unless you can change their minds, which is a lot harder to do then people ITT are making it out to be.
If you spend all of your time thinking about what could have been, much more than what is, you eventually realize that what is could have been much more.

if you dont drink/party at all in high school you will end up socially awkward when your legal and go out. you wont know how to deal/talk with drunk people, how drunk is too drunk, when to stop drinking or how to handle yourself. i know a few people who never drank in highschool and there real awkward to bring out cause there not used to the social surroundings what so ever.
