    carbs after cardio?

when you are trying to lose fat do you still eat carbs after cardio to replenish muscle glygogen?

just want opinions, not the typical. "calories in, calories out is all that matters" or the " you dont need to cut carbs to lose weigth"

i know the big picture, just having a hard time with planning my meals after cardio.

It just doesn't matter as daily nutrition is what determines the diet's contribution to bodyweight and composition.

actually it does, post cardio growth hormone is still high and introducing carbs would up the slin and decrease the growth hormone which is a fat burning agent

I don't bother, I just get my macros and that's it, don't really think about pre and post workout nutrition any more.

I don't do cardio, but if I did it wouldn't alter the macronutrient composition of my diet and it wouldn't alter the timing of my intake, which is simply based on hunger and convenience.

Getting "lean" is a function of total caloric intake and macronutrient sufficiency. It's not a function of meal timing or specific macronutrient partitioning.

Lastly, cardio is not required for fat loss. Rather, it simply increases TDEE and hunger.

You don't need to do cardio to stay that lean. Calories in vs calories out

Growth hormone begins to drop after exercise ceases at about the same rate regardless of what you eat.

See "Acute regulation of IGF-I by alterations in post-exercise macronutrients" Pascoe et al. 2011.

Well you could sprint/jog a mile after your lift to help stay lean. I think carbs might be important as you dump all your energy after your lift. And you prolly alrdy know intaking wht carbs will spike that insulin and flood the protien in.

thats amazing that your lean and dont do any cardio, you must have your nutrition down pack. however i'm currently in the military so i need to do cardio. but it is nice to know i dont need it to get lean.

I think what you keep missing is the simple fact that caloric balance is the determinant of bodyweight and that micro/macronutrient sufficiency impacts body composition.

Cardio simply increases TDEE and it does not, in and by itself, induce leanness.
