It was actually George Butler who directed that movie! Although obviously it didn't make the same splash the first Pumping Iron did.

While that may be true, it did, in fact, make a giant splash because at the time women's bodybuilding was still very new and the general public was not ready to see women with muscle. It wasn't too bad of a movie; give it chance.

It's the early days of womens bodybuilding. There was no figure back then...only bodybuilding.

It's 1980's female bodybuilding. The physiques back then were actually appealing...pretty close to what figure girls look like today (ie: they still look like females).

...and as previously stated, Rachel McLish is hot.

Great movie and great post. i watched the entire thing. It's strange that most pro figure girls of today would be considered huge compared to the bodybuilders of then.

Actually a really good movie, I have to say the smaller physiques were much more appealing, introducing women's physique is a good move

At the time, women's bodybuilding was about to take that next step into a more mainstream category and this movie was going to be used as a way of seeing the public's reaction to someone like Bev Francis, who was unlike any other competitor.

It was not supposed to be a rival of the first PI movie and shouldn't be compared to it.
