    Question about bench weight relative to squat weight

    My squat's currently 260 while my bench is 140. Is that proportionally off or normal? I've always had an easier time with lower body work, but I've also focused on legs more in the past. Upper body's never been a strength of mine.

    your squat numbers should be a lot higher than bench in general. i don't really subscribe to exact percentages though. it is nice to hear someone have more focus on something other than chest and arms though.. keep working and those will improve.

    If you're proportionally off, I must be deformed. I've deadlifted 255, but I struggle with 95 for bench. I'm not done growing (turning 15), but it's weird to think that your body would grow so disproportionately from top to bottom. Of course, it's no use for soccer player to do push ups when he was young anyway. You also develop your legs quickly with sprints.

    "Somewhere around parallel" means you're probably not hitting depth, which could explain the numbers. You should video your squats.
