Hi guys, been doing a lot of research on leg workouts for my training for Aussie rules football. Trying to build some leg strength in the post season before getting back into serious training (run/sprint/agility etc.) in the preseason.
Would appreciate a bit of feedback on my workout I've put together.
Day 1
Warm up (bike, elliptical, rower stretch)
Back squats 3 sets 8 reps
Stiff leg Deadlifts 3 sets 12 reps
45 incline leg press 2 sets 15 slow reps
Standing calf raises 3 sets 18-20 reps
Seated calf raises 3 sets 18-20 reps
Cool down
Day 2
Warm up (bike, elliptical, rower stretch)
Step downs 3 sets 12-15 reps
Dumbbell lunges 3 sets 12-15 reps
Hamstring curls 3 sets 12-15reps
Barbell hip thrust 3 sets 10-12 reps
Skipping 3 sets 1 min reps
Cool down
I tried to find more details on the results when using a combination of different rep lengths but struggled.
This routine 2-3 days apart with light cycling for recovery days.
