He didn't buy a house in Ohio. I can't post links from my phone, but the google search found several OSU boards debunking it.

The way this will play out is the next coach will suck ass and be fired in a fee years and then Urban will take the job to be the savior of the program.

I came to the realization a few months ago that ESPN/Yahoo/SI wouldn't stop until Tressel resigned or fired.

It still feels weird actually listening to it, but I'm ready to move on.

The University is bigger than Jim Tressel.

It's clear the media loved digging at OSU, we're by far the most hated college football team in the country.

If you don't think the media gave the OSU story special attention over what happened at UNC or Auburn you may be a little retarded.

They had an award winning journalist in town for 6 weeks, after Yahoo and ESPN hung out for weeks.

Wow. I kinda figured he would, but here we are actually about to watch a coaching search. I think Meyer is the guy, but very few coaches are out of reach for OSU.

But it's OK if you steal, sell stolen property, run away before being expelled for cheating after 3 offenses, and then collect $180k (not to mention all the shady **** he's done that has gone unpublished). I am going to be interested in the high profile names that will be associated with the job search.

I am a big OSU fan, but we all drank the coolaid that Tressel was about honesty and high moral standards...it was b.s. He wanted to win, those 1 or 2 game suspensions of litte nobody players was just for show. sad for Ohio State.

Agreed. Not an OSU fan or anything, but I agree with your assessment of Tressel. He was a snake. The eptiome of "do as I say, not as I do." He preached nothing but "honor, integrity and character," but his actions dating all the way back to Youngstown State show nothing but a scandalous coach who would break the rules for the sake of winning.
He preached it all the time, but only practiced integrity when it was convenient for him. The ultimate phony and snake. I'm glad he is being forced to leave Ohio State in shame.

I think when he made those players pledge to not go to the draft..... that is pathetic. Now those players passed up the draft this season for a guy who isn't even going to be at the school anymore. I am sure some legal actions might take place on behalf of those players. Could cost those kids millions in the long run.

The kids made were not forced to do anything. If anything, throw the Tat 5 off the team, **** them.

I will be accepting Pryor and company resignations any time that's convenient for them. I would like to wash my hands of all of them, they have really sealed their legacy at OSU.

But OSU definitely made him step down, he didn't just wake up today and want to resign. It was still stupid to make them pledge to come back, that was something he thought would appeal to the media, like something he wrote in his books.

He is really paying for writing those masterpieces and then making the complete opposite decision IRL.
