Ideal weight for someone ~ 6 feet ?

How much do you think is an ideal weight for some 71.5-72 inches tall?

based on BMI it looks like 165 is dead center of the 'healthy' area, but i'm sure many of you would say that is too thin, right?

so what is something to aim for...175-180 with 10-12% BF?

165 6'0 is probably near the equivalent is 145 for 5'9, my height. it's normal, skinny

i'm 5'9 up to 180 and still not "big"

So definitely 210+ is a good long term goal for you for now

but there are programs/charts you can find, google ideal bmi for height

I'm 181 lbs now, however I have no idea what my BF % is.. .maybe 15-20% ?

I'm trying to stay at 180 lbs but aiming for 10% or less BF. That is my ideal weight / goal.

Well really what are your goals? that's a better question

for bodybuilding purposes I wouldn't worry about that

Your ideal body would probably be quite a bit higher than "high".

You'd definitely have an athletic build at that height and weight.

im 6'3 and my perfect BMI of 21.5 is at 170 lbs

which i was and felt perfect but looked skinny.

you can probably tell i lift at 180 lbs,

i would say 190-210 lbs with minimal bodyfat should be near optimal.

and if you want that super swole look youll want more. 240 maybe. i dunno i havent been there yet.

    200lbs @ 9% looks swole for 6'

When I cut down to 9% I'll probably be around 180lbs. That still looks like I lift but I don't think I will look hyooge yet.

It depends on a lot of different factors

What might be a good weight for you, might not look good on somebody else

Genetics, bone structure, and bodyfat all affect it

thanks bro, reps on r/c... edit: looked at ur avi, 174 looks really good on you (no homo). i mean you look cut up and good. really aiming for 195? i'd love to see how that looks compared to you at 174

When I cut down to 9% I'll probably be around 180lbs. That still looks like I lift but I don't think I will look hyooge yet.
same as above, thanks & reps on r/c

yes, that is pretty nice (no homo).

i don't necessarily want to be much bigger than that. i just want to be looking good and people to not tell me i'm skinny.

not gonna state my weight as misc tends to hate on that **** pretty hardcore...but i've gained 8lbs in the past month and i'm eating big and lifting big so i'm gonna keep at it until i'm at least 165 - 175. and see how i feel at that weight, and if i want more i'll go up until i find the perfect weight for me.

165 on that guy looks pretty awesome tho... do you guys who say 185-200+ disagree?

Firstly BMI is irrelevant as it is for inactive people. For anyone with any amount of muscle they'll be considered over-weight when in reality they may have less fat then the 'healthy' range people. I am considered obese by BMI standards.

As for your question it depends entirely on bodyfat percentages. I think 195-215 is a good range to shoot for if you are 6'.

Bullsh!t. Either he's fraudin on his height or his weight. Looks to be about 5'8 165-170. Or, the pic is photoshopped to hell/its myspace angles.

i really appreciate it bro, srs. especially bout the BMI. never thought about it like that...if you got lots of muscle BMI will assume its fat... and yeah 165 on that guy at 6 feet doesn't seem realistic, but if it is, he looks good, no?

anyone with pictures of someone ~71.5-72 inches tall with weight between 165-200 that looks good i'll rep whenever i can give them out again...
