Good PC Gaming Headset
Looking for a good pair of headsets, need the sound to be good, but also have a good clear mic for clear commands over vent and to possibly produce some podcasts in the future.
Looking to spend 200$ or less, but will go up a bit if there is something outstanding about a certain pair.
Comfort is also important, will have some long sessions of gaming on weekends and need them to be bearable. They should also be wired and maybe have some noise canceling (not necessary)
Currently have some turtle beaches that i do not like, and a pair of the Klipsch S4 Gaming sets that works decently, but the mic is really lacking. So looking for something considerably better then both.
Not a brand whore , so not looking to get some overpriced **** for the name, the design of the product does not concern me if it functions properly.

if you are looking for the best way to get this done then get a headset separate from the mic. This is assuming you want the best for your money.

I need the mic to be attached to the headset, I'm aware that i could get it for cheaper by going the other route, but having a mic that i have to be holding and moving every time I felt like changing seats was annoying (had a setup like this for 1-2 months)
Looking at the reviews so far, the 350's posted above look pretty good, any other suggestions?

Look into the astro gaming headsets and mix amps. I have had that set up for 3 years and have really enjoyed them, the mixamp itself is well worth it as it adds digital audio options and very very good synthetic 5.1 surround experience for your headphones on consoles or pc.
As far as the astro headset itself; its okay. It would be what you're looking for as far as the mic built onto the headset, but imo I would like some more bass out of them... I'm not an audio expert, but allegedly the headset itself is considered lower-midrange to mid-midrange.
Op, if I were you I would get a astro mixamp, some sennheiser 555's and do the simple "555 to 595 mod" and just get a nice directional desk mic... the 555's are only $85 on amazon last I checked, a nice mic on amazon only $20-$30 and the mixamp is I think $130
