I didn't lift all summer because my job required me to constantly lift and I couldn't afford to be sore and also lift at work, so I took about 4 months off from lifting. I dropped from around 145 to 136 or so, but I have been able to get back up to 146 in the last month, which I am really happy about. The problem is, my lifts are still weak as ****. I used to bench 185x10 without too much strain and squat 245x8 (inb4 your squat sucks. I know :/). Right now I can only bench maybe 155x10 with the same strain and 205x8. I thought that since I was eating a lot more that I'd be seeing more progress when it came to lifts, but I'm not. So, do any of y'all have a good regime for people who have experience lifting, but took an extended break and came back weak af. I'm not sure if I should go high volume/longer rests between sets, superset, high volume and short rests, or do what I used to do which was medium volume short rests.
tl;dr took a long time off from lifting and have been able to gain all my weight back but my lifts suck. Got a good regime for people like me?
