Ofcourse its good, and you already know it is. You made this thread to cleverly e-brag about it, and for that I am not impressed.

For an untrained athlete it is...for a distance runner I don't think so. But then again he's young, so I dunno. I ran 5:51 when I ran it as a joke at 17 in one of my meets. I trained for 100 and 200 (And I was pretty slow in those, too).

I was speaking in general. He obviously isn't a trained distance or sprint runner, seeing as he is asking a bodybuilding forum. Generally sub 6 minute times are considered pretty damn good for the average joe.

Just looked like an obvious attempt to blow up his ego imo.

Lol what? We have a 15 year old on our team running 4:29. OP time is decent but keep working at it if you are going to do it competitively.

Last year I got a 5:56 if I remember right, was 15 and was untrained/didn't take it very serious. Just a one off.

I remember that being considered pretty good, so a 5:42 would be pretty good, but if your a runner or train for fitness and was focusing on it then I'd probabaly say it's fairly average.

When I did the 1500 metres on a school sports day (93% of a mile), simply because nobody else in our group would, it literally killed me! I was jogging so slowly when I passed the finish line, might as well have been walking. Really can't remember what my time was but I can't imagine it being that impressive at all. So I would say you did really well to get a time like that if you managed to keep up a good solid pace for a whole mile, much much fitter than the average joe.
    I always rep back.
