Hey guys,
I would like to know if being sore the day after you workout means you are training good, training too hard, or if it has nothing to do with it. I am often sore the following day if not 2-3 days after working out and just was wondering if anyone knew if it was a good thing, bad or if it doesnt mean anything. It sounds like a dumb question now that I read it, but I seem to feel like I had a better workout if I am sore the next day.

It has nothing to do with a good or bad workout. You can punch yourself in the bicep or curl a can 50000 times and be sore, is it a good workout? (you should say "no")
Overtime, you get pretty conditioned to a training style, and muscle soreness decreases. Thats why some people insist on constantly changing their routines, they think because they aren't sore the next day they did'nt do enough, which I dont feel is the correct way to think about training.
Just train, progress, and stay injury free.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=180003183&p=1635918623#post1635918623

I'm guilty of that sh*t too, waiting for somebody to powder my nuts cuz I did 20 reps of whatever the **** on the bench. Big f*king deal. It is all relative." G Diesel

It's normal, and usually occurs for me during the first week of switching to a new routine, or if I'm coming back after a week off or something like that. My body usually gets accustomed to the workout by the 2nd or 3rd week, and I no longer get sore after that.
Some people think that soreness is an indicator of a good workout, but it is just a myth.
