My school here is re-modeling and was going to throw away their big white boards. I grabbed em up and now have an entire wall covered with them and all kinds of ideas and webs and plans and lists and anything I think of filling them. Motivation is way up and I love working this way.

been getting a solid 100-200 hits a day now. Starting to figure out how to pull in unique viewers. Sucks that I work 12 hours a day 3 days a week and then 8-4 the remainder 2. Can't get enough time in to finish off designing the site. Progress is always good though.

is it just me or is the header uploader on WP absolutely retarded? it makes me crop it regardless how much smaller i make it on corel or the website I initially used
the default header is like 948x150, yet when i go to upload one even half that size it keeps insisting i crop it"Decided to burn a lot of calories today. So I set a fat kid on fire"

Hey brahs,
Is there any way to have a link on my site that leads to a CPA ad, where they fill out the email. But the domain stays under my website? Somekind of reroute? I think its possible but not sure how.

I want to stress again, the importance of being first when it comes to ranking fast on Google... Don't take this advice lightly.
I don't care about whatever you find online for this, (i doubt you will find anyone who dissagrees) but im not going to give you facts here, because other than google employees no one really knows what google places the most weight on when it comes to ranking. I will tell you this from experince, ive seen it, no backlinking no nothing, who has the info first, must be on the top of the list.
we will use bodybuilding as an example.. you have a bb site.. my advice.. get on ********, get on twitter, "LIKE" all the pages of the brands/athletes you cover.. "Follow" all the brands/atheletes you cover.
muthafukkas cant keep their mouth shut, as soon as they got a new product coming out, they will tweet it, they will put it on FB... what can you do with this info to win? example
Twinlabs Tweets: "New creatine coming out soon, its gonna change the game.. #Furyforce"
what would i do if i owned a bodybuilding site? MAke a page called, mysite.com/furyforce-creatine-twinlabs do the usual SEO stuff, put that on the title, "Twinlabs Fury force Creatine Review" - put that on the content first paragraph and on the metatag description. "Twinlabs brings you the future of creatine supplements Furyforce"
you can write a paragraph or two about the company profile, and that its coming soon blah blah..
DO NOT make this a focus page on your site, if your site is on wordpress, post the article, but then change the publish date to be like january 2011.. that way it doesnt come up on your front page or on new articles ect. BUT still gets indexed by google as long as u do the minimum for it (tweet it on a fake account, or put the link on a fake ******** so as to not annoy your fans).
I guarantee that if you pick it up that quick, you will be #1 or #2 in google for that term now.. because its a new term.. not in the market, you are first.. no competition yet... You just cornered what could be one of the top selling products.
now.. you can lose your place easy at this point as well, I will tell you how, this is from experince.. Google also ranks sites on the amount of text/content on a page, AND bounce rate, and how long does the person searching for that term last on that page after searching it..
what that means for you (since you really dont have any content on there yet because the product is not out) is that you are still vunerable.. But for now, you are sitting high on that term.. so what do? Since you dont have that info yet, again, write about the company and how excited this is going to be, THEN place information on other creatines (with links to whatever site you use to sell creatine or affiliate or whatever) and fill up the page with that info.. AGAIN, letting the customer know the product is YET NOT OUT so they dont bounce back and make a new search and making google think you did not provide any useful info and perhaps even getting a sales lead from it.
once the product does come out, then you fill in the page with the real information... plaster the link on social sites, and since you are already #1.. u will retain that spot and not lose it to someone who has the real product information before you got it. Remember, everyone is now fighting agaisnt you.. you are number 1.. they have to knock you down.
You have the AGE of the product name on your side (since you made the page first), now you have the info needed, and you've already been at that spot for a while.. for someone to knock u out trying to just make a new page about the product is going to be hard... uve already owned that term for days, or weeks by this time.
This is not hard, but it does mean you need to be in touch with the pulse of the industry, you want to be among the first to report anything that moves so you are not trying to play catch-up with backlinking and trying to make your site seem relevant... you can start off at number 1 spot, and its way easier to maintaint that spot than it is to earn it from page 100 on google.
Will edit for grammar this in a sec.
#realest**** I ever wrote.
EDIT: At times you wont have enough info on the product, you may not have the name... it doesnt hurt to email the company and ask for the name, they want the publicity, its worth a shot.. at worst then i would make a page with the brand and the product.. example "mysite.com/micronized-creatine-twinlab"
and then put that on the title, you can then change the title as you get more info, BUT obviously do not change the permalink name.. or you will be back to step 1.
EDIT EDIT: another way to know when some new info has been released on the product you now rank #1 or 2 for.. is to be vigilant of what pages are the most visited on your site... if all of the sudden you see that that "place holding" page you made for product A just got 300 views out of nowehere, you better go that that companys site/********/twitter and see what the hell they just said so you can update your page. This is all sorta time consumming, but again i rather be number 1 from the start, than try to play catch-up later... once or twice daily i check my fake twitter and fake ******** that i have set up to just follow/like bands artists and other websites similar to mine to make sure they havent posted something i can cover or get a heads up on.Last edited by MinusP; 09-14-2011 at 01:26 PM.

Hey AMers
I don't suppose any of you are looking to offload a site? Something established but which you no longer have to patience to keep updated/write new content for?
