Top 3 Traffic Generation Tips

Basically I use Forums, Social Media Sites (********) & Youtube to drive traffic to my site.

1. Forums: I would recommend that you find a forum that is very active where there may be your type of audience who participate in that forum and try to become an authority figure in that forum by sharing good advice and helping people out.

2. ******** Fan Page

This may take some time and research on how to start/run and maintain one.. but this is my sites biggest asset and the fact that it has over 50k fans means I can post an article on it at any given time and receive a huge spike of traffic instantly. Although you have to be careful as if you start spamming them, they will "unlike" your page... and also making a fanpage alone is not enough if you want to reap the FULL benefits that it can give you!!!

3. Youtube:

Although I would focus on 1 and 2. Youtube can be great but most of my traffic comes from methods 1 and 2.

I would also HIGHLY suggest that you post Quality content on the site.. as if the Content is really good, it will naturally get shared and go viral pretty fast.

There are heaps of other methods but these are the main and simple ones really.

Real life example…

Whenever I started to feature female fitness athletes on my site I noticed the following trends:

a) They would go viral pretty fast
b) Get shared more on ******** & Twitter & Forums
c) Ultimately drag in more traffic

Why?

Well simple: Sex Sells…

When I featured Lauara Michelle Prestin (A top fitness model) I had noticed huge spikes in traffic which lasted days and days.

These 2 articles pretty much cover everything - I noticed that when I had installed a CDN & Caching plugin on my server site speed increased by 5x. Also if you can't afford a CDN, just look for the free alternatives, like the one provided by google.

Learned a lot from Part 4:

Saw success stories that gave me the courage to try it out.
Just picked an offer from clickbank and jumped right in; brainstormed keywords, went the SEO route with a minisite and got to page 1 for my keyword in about a month and a half. Made my first few sales last week- pleasantly surprised.

Now just need to scale it up.

Just whittled down my list of over 200 available domains and registered 19 of them. If anybody's looking for diet/weightloss domains to register gimme a PM, I've got a bunch written down that I won't be using. Too much competition and I've got far too many ideas to bog myself down with such a saturated niche

Just curious...where do you guys find advertisers for your sites? Earlier this month, I was averaging 10-15 visits a day. Now, I'm up to 70-75 visits a day. When I get around 200-300 visits/day I want to start offering ad space, since adsense just isn't cutting it (0.10% CTR).
