Vasolate...son...

I am slightly disappoint. Just tried my first shake(got in on the WC deal) in 8oz of skim milk and it didn't live up to my expectations. It was slightly salty and there was an odd taste to it...leucine maybe? Did I get a bad tub or is this just the taste of Vasolate? Not trying to bash, I have P-Bol and love it, was hoping for the same from Vasolate. What do?

lol damn.. i got mine today too will be taking it befor bed. Hopefully it tastes ok. Btw mine expire in september wish it was a bit longer but o well, there small tubs, i got 3 of them. Did you try it in water yet ?

Me too brah, with Dave flavoring and all the stellar reviews I was pretty excited to try it...maybe I set my hopes a bit too high.

I actually agree with you on this. Strawberry was the only flavor I didn't dig too much, and I think salty aftertate (no homo) is a good way to describe it. With that said, the chocolate is the most amazing tasting protein I've ever had.

Yeah, too bad they didn't have chocolate on WC. I've tried the UP triple chocolate and that stuff was amazing.

I usually do shakes, but oats may help out this flavor. I originally bought it for work, since I never know when I am going to get a meal in.

If you have the chance, definitely try the Very Vanilla. This is by far my favorite of the Vasolates.

Sorry to hear you dont like the flavor..not everybody will be satisfied its just the way it is.

Perhaps if you have a chocolate shake you can make a chocolate/strawberry drink, thats what I do time to time. Even better if you have banana strawberry/banana flavor is amazing imo.

I grind mine in coffee grinder

Edit: I just got mine in and did a quick scoop with water and it was pretty good. Probably better when I get some milk.

yeah it happens I don't mind though but I usually make protmeal over shakes. I use the magic bullet to make all my shakes which chops them up good.

I found that the Banana Bonanza flavor was by far the best, for me.

Strawberry was the least to my liking.

Dont worry about it, everybody has different tastebuds. If you check reviews some love chocolate, some love strawberry, some love etc....

Id be interested in hearing your thoughts tomorrow though.

I may post up a review. The only straw. protein I've had recently is the old Myo version. Its alright, but I won't buy it again.

Id give it an 8, vanilla and choc are a lot creamier. This kinda tastes like strawberry nesquick. Stil really good but yeah not as crramy as vanilla vasolate. BUT i have high hopes for this makijg a good protein ice cream.

Hmmm I loved the flavors I tried(vanilla, banana, chocolate pb). For some reason I don't think strawberry would make a great shake...maybe just me though.

It could be the leucine. The strawberry is definitely my favorite vasolate flavor. The only flavor I got a slightly salty taste from was the CPB, but I think that was from the PB flavor.

The chocolate peanut butter and strawberry actually do have more sodium in than the other 3 flavors.

Chocolate 240
Banana 220
Vanilla 220

The higher content is to have perfect flavoring of course, and the CPB is one of the harder flavors to have done so well.

I knew I liked it before, but after not having tried it for a while and reading this thread I had to try it again... so good... as good or better than a strawberry milkshake from McD's and quite better nutritional wise.

Easily the best or near the best of all the various strawberry proteins I have tried. No hype. All the Vasolate flavors rock with the best no question. I've bought multiple tubs of every flavor except Banana which I have tried samples of and loved it. I have been using PBC lately and can't believe how good it is... simply a treat to drink and I only use water in my shakes.
