    5x5 workout back issues

I am having a hard time finding back exercises for my 5x5 session on back day. I cant do anything like deads, bent over rows because i have a mild herniation in my l4-l5 disc in my back. Any suggestions????? Looking to gain a wider/fuller looking back. Thanks all....

Seated rows with various grips and if you have one of those upper back machines where you pull two handles back and they're positioned relatively high, do those. Maybe pullups too.

I had to get around deads and bent over rows when I had damage to one of my joints in the lower back (resulting in sciatica).

Now, you may still want to try these exercises but with very low weight. If you do high volume you'll still get those muscles working a bit.
