    Started IF today. Took BCAA + creatine on an empty stomach. Became sick and dizzy.

    I started the leangains -style IF today (along with a more strict paleo diet as I think my body doesn't like dairy + fruit).

    Anyway. Woke up with an empty stomach. Took 10g xtend BCAA and 6g creatine.

    About 30 minutes into my workout I became sick... dizzy. Lots of burping. Almost couldn't finish my workout. Took 20 minutes to recover then finished my chinups... could only do 2 out of 3 sets :-(

    WTF was that about?. Was it the creatine or the BCAA that made me sick?

    it probably wasn't either. it could just be the fasted workouts, if you have never done it before. I would try it again tomorrow and see how things go. if it's the same, IF might not be for you

    Try it again a few more times and see how it goes. Fasted training isnt for everyone, I have trouble with nausea sometimes when I train in the mornings before eating.

    I think it's the fasted training. When I first tried training fasted(~2-3 hours after last meal) I felt the same way. My next workout was better, then the 3rd workout I was completely used to it and got the BEST pumps ever. I'd tough it out for a couple workouts but if it doesn't go away after 2-3 workouts its probably just your body.

    i'm also a fasted-morning-workout-er... sans BCAAs. and i take my creatine post-workout... not that it really matters when. just fyi haha

    Awesome feedback. I think I'm going to try it a few times more. Tomorrow without creatine just to reduce the number of variables.

    It took me a few workouts to get used to but its great now. For me it was the low carb more than training fasted.

    ^lol. Anyway, don't some people complain of stomach upset from using creatine for the first time? I was gonna say that both BCAAs and creatine are sh** for taste (I've had the flavorless ON BCAAs), but at least you use Xtend.

    I was taking the BCAA + glutamine after workouts and it always made me feel a little drunk and woozy afterwards. Now I only take it before sleeping.

    There are variations of the IF protocol. Some are fasted; some aren't with a pre-workout meal. Have you looked into that? Personally, I do not train fasted because I feel like I'm going to black out. Try going through what you went through on a leg day.
