How do you guys and gals keep your motivation going strong? I ve been training for almost 2 years and everything has been going great. But Its hard for me to stay focused with all the distractions. It's also hard for me to be dedicated to myself 100% because I feel the need to involve other people In my life and honestly a lot of them seem to just drag me down. I'm currently in the process of finding new friends with similar goals to help motivate me. Any tips on what I should do till then? Should I jus bail on my old friends or try to keep them around?

How do you stay motivated? By creating confidence and self-respect for yourself. Once you have FAITH in yourself that you can do it - ask some q's:
Do you wnat to stay fat? Do you want to look bad? Do you want to look the same way forever?
Then go out and do it. Eat with a defiict, eat properly, workout regularly, in maint. always be seeking new knowledge & motivation, be "in the zone", make fitness a part of your life. You don't lose weight - you become HEALTHY in both body & mind. It's a lifestlye change and that means you change along with it.
If your friends/family are getting in the way - then you have no choice but to avoid them until you get fit. Sorry but you have to do it for yourslf. Good luck.Weight Loss: Go carnivore or keto combined with 16/8 IF. It'll create easy calorie deficit. Meat is good and heals, stop being lied to.

How does what other people do drag you down? You are in control of your body.
For me, I have to priorities. I need my 4 days a week in the gym. If there comes a time where I must chose between gym or going out, I will chose the gym every time. Although, If I know I am going out at night, I will wake up early to lift. Being flexible with your gym schedule will allow you to go out + get your weights in.
Motivation... I enjoy lifting heavy weights. I like seeing progress in the mirror and getting physical/mental gains. Knowing that I have the willpower to do something others can not, is a great feeling.
My advice would be to keep your old friends, unless they are druggy types or something of that nature.

Don't burn your bridges, better to have someone over no one while you make the transition.
For me the more I drag myself into the gym the more attention i seem to get from chicks, the more attention i get from chicks the more I think i should get back in the gym, work harder and get even more attention off hotter chicks! a not so vicious circle . my friends and family can see how happy its making me and how i now ooze confidence so understand when I pick the gym over them. I will not stop, there is no finish line.

Well, if other people are dragging you down, you should let that motivate you even more. All the no's and naysayers is what even pushed Arnold to keep on training. I've only been working out for about 3 months now but I'm loving it. I've also watched tons of bodybuilding videos on Youtube. I'm going about 4 days a week to the gym now.

Its not my body they drag down just my mind, but I've come to realize its only because I let them. Its hard for me to see what I parts of myself in a place that I never wana be in again. I went through a really tough time and seeing some of my friends sometimes reminds of that place I used to be in. But im not gona give up on the people that have made me the person I am today. I will be a positive role model for people come hell or high water , and besides I guess it would be a super dick move to forget what ive come from. God Bless and wish me luck
