    How many of you mix a low cal HIGH CARB with your protein?

    Protein is important post workout but how many actually consume a complex carb drink with it?

    It seems to have some buzz and am wondering if I should buy into the hype.
    If you want it badly enough you will find a way, if not you will find an excuse.

    I prefer to eat my carbs rather then drinking them. Worry about a proper preworkout meal instead of worrying about a protein carb drink post.

    Well let's say I would rather just consume a shake PWO, would a high carb replacement be neccesary to replenish my glycogen levels and recovery.

    Are you an endurance athlete? Are you working out for over 2 hours? If you answered no to these two chances are you aren't even close to depleting your glycogen stores.

    I have found the benefits of drinking waxy maize and BCAA's intra workout and will most likely continue doing so. Right now I am finishing up a tub of Monster Amino, and may switch to a BCAA drink and just mix in unflavored waxy after

    Non fed AM lifting can begin with depleted glycogen based on the meal time before bed.
