    Arrow How to control 'insulin'?

Okay, let's say I binged on sugary cereal, if I go and skip rope, jumping jacks or run, will the insulin spike be maintained?

Is there a way to prevent/control the insulin spike after eating sugar (or white flour products) so that you don't get that sleepy feeling (crash) or unwanted fat gain?

Occasionally, when I eat sugary foods or white flour products (unintentionally), I go and do some cardio. It makes me feel better in terms of mentality, but would it also help me reduce the fat gain caused by the food.

Theoretically, whole grains release energy slowly and sustainly, but white flour and sugar releases energy immediately and spikes the insulin to roof top and then crash, so If after eating white flour/sugar you sit down on your ass it will be stored as fat. What if I do cardio after eating that? Will the adverse effects of white flour/sugar be prevented?

Some pre-workout sports drink (like Red-bull original) also contains **** loads of sugar, right?

EDIT: I found an interesting study. "According to a 2007 study published by the American College of Nutrition, black tea can help reduce blood sugar by up to 40 percent right after eating a meal of high-glycemic foods. The study suggests that drinking 12 oz. black tea can lower blood sugar."

You are 15. My sister is 15, eats like complete crap, and yet still stays skinny and excels at sports. At your age your body wants to grow and is ramping up your metabolism, etc to do so. Work your butt off in the weight room and eat and you will see good results.

I am not in any sports. And sadly, today is my off day, so I can't workout my butt off (also recovering from pinched nerve and CNS fatigue)

I agree with this, OP, as I had similar questions man, but, its true, when you are 15 (we both happen to be), you shouldnt try to over-complicate things so much, which you, and I, seem to do! Haha but anyways, just try to avoid sugary products, trade the cereal out for oatmeal, and if you must, add something such as stevia to it to add sweetness, but in my experience, once you start to eat food that has no additives, you begin to enjoy the "natural" taste of food. Wish you luck

Don't freak out. 78lbs. I'm following the 1g of protein per lb of body weight. I shoot for 80g a day. Remember, i'm 5'1"

Thanks for the suggestion Alex. I already avoid sugary products, I eat oatmeal, and eat as least additives as I can and I am getting used to the natural taste. But, this was an unintentional meal (meaning I don't usually eat this stuff), my sister bought this for me and I couldn't control myself.
