    dumbell or barbell??

i would like to know if we do barbell and dumbell bench press at the same time,is it good for our muscles?? or is it good to just choose to do barbell or dumbell press in each day?? what i meant was for example chest,if we chose to do dumbell, then we just use dumbell..if we choose to use barbell, then we should use barbell for the entire chest routine.

    tq in advance..

Sounds hard to hold both a dumbbell and barbell at the same time. I'd just do one or the other.

    LOL, awesome.

I will do a dumbbell flat bench and a Barbell incline or decline in the same workout session.

I think what your asking is..

Is it effective to do barbell bench and dumbbell bench on the same day.

I would say it's basically the same exercise and you get the same workout from both exercises..

However using dumbbells will make sure you are working both arms evenly and prevent uneven muscles.

if i lift barbell press 80kg and later on i do dumbell press but with 10kg on each side,is it good?? is it consider cutting?? cause i heard a few people said that if we lift a very heavy weight and then we lift a lighter weight,it is cutting. however, what i want is bulking..

Im not sure. All I'm saying is you could do the same thing with barbell both times, or dumbbell both times. It's the same exercise.

I think you may be talking about a variation of High Intensity Interval Training applied to your weight training rather than running or cycling.

Lift heavy one set, lift light the second for 2-3 x the reps or time, lift heavy again, then light...

If bulk or mass is what you want... not the most efficient way to get it.

Go Heavy or Go Home. Dumbbell or Barbell doesn't matter. Like I said, I'll use both in a routine, just for different lifts. 250 Barbell press or 100s for the DB press, just lift it.

SS, 5x5, 5/3/1, Ripptoe... check the stickies
