The NEW White Flood - Allieninja + Controlled Labs = <3
Hey everyone, I'll be running a log of the NEW FORMULATION of White Flood, in White Raspberry flavor. I've had the other two flavors of White Flood in the old formulation, so I figured I would try this flavor out to see which is my favorite.
Thanks to CONTROLLED LABS for choosing me to journal their newest pre-workout!
I've been trying to cut, but it's hard for someone as short as me to eat at a certain percentage below maintenance. If I can't burn off a ton of calories every day, I'd have to be eating in the 1100s or lower to get where I want to be, which we all know is not great for you. So the plan is cardio and weights as much as possible, in order to keep my total calories higher, but have my net calories still be pretty low.
My cardio mostly consists of commuting to work by bike, which is about 10.5 miles. If I can get out early enough I can do the ride home as well, but usually it is too dark by the time I get out of work, so I have to take my bike home on the subway. Also, it requires me to get up early in the morning, which I've never had an easy time doing.
I had an idea the other day to keep a cup of White Flood by my bed, and when my alarm goes off and I get up to pee, I fill the cup with water and chug it. Then I lay down for a few more minutes after hitting the snooze button, letting the WF kick in. Then, I can get up, get ready in a hurry, and hop on the bike and go, rather than dragging my ass around. I tried this last Friday with the original White Flood and it worked great, I can't wait to try it with the NEW White Flood.
My plan is to take the 1 scoop before the ride, and take another scoop in a water bottle along with me on the ride. Then during the ride I'll drink the other scoop and I'll be pumped and ready to go for my weight workout when I get to work, where my gym is.
I can't ride the bike every day, as it is apparently "rainy season" here in NY right now, so on those days I'll only be taking 1 scoop, before my weight workout. Although depending on how it goes I might do the wake-up scoop anyway, because it works REALLY WELL at getting me out of bed on time.
I've also been jogging here and there, so I may throw some of that in for good measure.

Yup, coffee takes too much preparation in the morning for my zombie corpse, and a caffeine pill would take too long to dissolve/kick in. I'd be in bed for another half hour passed out. WF starts working by the time the next snooze alarm kicks in
First workout will be tomorrow, and will be weights only - I have to go to the airport right after work, and can't leave my bike there over the weekend.

Gettring ready for tomorrow - busted open the container to put a scoop in my cup for the morning, and another in a teeny tiny rubbermaid container to pack in my suitcase for the weekend trip. Hoping to hit the gym on Sunday at the hotel if there is one.

Gotta go for a jog tomorrow instead of weights, because I have to go to the studio in the morning, not the office. So I won't get to hit the gym. I'll do the jog around my neighborhood before getting ready.

Yesterday was my first session with the new White Flood. DAMN.
I used my idea of chugging in half a sleep haze, and then hitting the snooze button. I was seriously up and alert 12 minutes later. I got out and took a half hour jog around my neighborhood, and my focus was great. When I got home at 8:30am and still had an hour to get ready for work I was very happy. This is definitely going to become a regular thing.
The raspberry flavor is pretty good, I think I need to use colder water next time though. I feel like the first time I tried fruit punch, it was more refreshing than this was. But I used really cold water for that, so I'll try that next time.
Unfortunately my running tracker program on my phone failed during it, so I can't report any stats Running with a phone in your pocket instead of in the treadmill cup holder is hard.
In a hotel in NC with crappy internet, so I'll have to cut this one short... but will update when I get home!

Today's WF dosage was used purely for staying vertical purposes - had a 6am plane flight I had to wake up at 3:30am for. Mixed up WF in the hotel with a pack of Green Mag I brought with me.

Raspberry flavor of the WF totally overpowered green apple GM - kind of a bummer. I was hoping I'd be able to taste both flavors when mixing them. Also the entire mixture was very strong, and I used about 20 oz of water. If I do this again it will definitely be with more water.
Obviously no workout on the plane, haha. Probably won't be able to hit the gym this evening because I'll be exhausted, but will get to hit it tomorrow.

Woke up and chugged my pre-biking scoop of WF. Then as I was getting ready it started to rain So that was sad, but at least I got out of bed.
I decided that there is something a little bitter/tart in the raspberry flavor. I like "tangy", but this is tart rather than tangy, and it's a little much to be honest. I decided to throw in some bulk glycine with my second dose to sweeten it up a bit. a tbsp of glycine seemed to do the trick. Drank my second dose on the subway on the way to work.
10 minutes later when I got out of the subway, I practically wanted to run to work, haha. My legs had energy surging through them, it was crazy. Not like a pump, because I was just walking, but more like I could almost feel my bloodflow in my legs bringing oxygen to my muscles getting them ready for my workout. How cool is that?
So anyway, the workout was great, I raised weight or reps on every one of the lifts I did. Here's the workout:

Dumbbell Incline Bench Press 30x10,30x10,30x6 (eek)

Sweeeeet. Don't know what my workout schedule will be the rest of the week - I'm travelling to Dallas tomorrow and I don't know what the hotel gym will look like. 99% likely I won't get to do anything Thursday or Friday because I am working two 16 hour days. Hoping to at least get something in tomorrow and Saturday. Then it's a 3 day weekend and I'll probably ride my bike around the park a few times.

So I didn't have time to pack that exciting bit above into my bag before I left for the airport yesterday. I'll have to wait until Sunday to try it.
I did pack some scoops of razz in my mini containers though, and I actually got a workout in this morning! Took the new razz WF about 30 minutes before heading to the gym, and a packet of PW during the workout.

Had to change up my workout a little because of the equipment in the hotel gym, but got some good stuff in.
I was still energized from the new WF even after showering, getting ready, and going to work. Everyone was wondering why I was so well-rested, haha. Joke's on them!
Feeling nice and sore this evening, haha. Definitely won't be able to get in a workout tomorrow, since I have to be at work in 6 hours and I'm still awake Most likely Saturday before I check out though.

Today's workout was fueled by the new WATERMELON White Flood, as seen in my flavor review above. DAMN that stuff is good.
The new formula really really shined today. I decided to go for a bike ride and enjoy the park. After I took the 1 scoop of White Flood, I wrote the review above, which took awhile. So it was at least an hour after I took it that I actually got around to going on the ride.
However, I was still bursting with energy long after I took it. In fact, I had SO much energy and stamina, I was able to do 4 laps around the park, when normally I only do 3. Each lap is about 3.5 miles, so that's really good.

I did about 15.2 miles total. I'm not sure how long it took because my tracking program crashed halfway through - lame. But I don't really ride for speed anyway, so I don't really care.

Didn't have the juice for 4 laps today. I think it's probably because I had a snack before yesterday's ride, and today I was fasted. Also I have bike butt today.
I got a lot more hyper on NewWF today than yesterday, probably for the same reason. Took watermelon again today, NOMZ.

Yesterday I had a dentist appointment, and I woke up too late to do anything beforehand... so last night I told myself I HAD to go for a jog before today's doc appt. Took an ambien around 11 because I wasn't tired, was in bed by 12:30ish. Woke up at 7, chugged a scoop of watermelon WF in about 8-10 oz of water. I like it much better watered down, as it turns out. But I'm still figuring all of this out, so now I know. Hit snooze, went back to sleep.
Unfortunately half an hour later I woke up and was STILL exhausted. Damn ambien. Had to have another whole scoop of WF to pep me up. Chugged another scoop, white raspberry this time, in 20oz of water. Seems to be the sweet spot for a scoop of either flavor.
Did day 3 of couch to 5k, which is:
- Brisk five-minute warmup walk. Then alternate 60 seconds of jogging and 90 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes.
So this took around 28 minutes total, with a brief cool-down. Sweat a LOT. Didn't wear my HRM or track my distance, just did it purely to get the exercise.
I'm pretty impressed that the new White Flood can actually motivate me to jog. I HATE jogging/running. I'm terrible at it. I can bike or swim no problem, lots of fun. But jogging is the worst. So since I'm so bad at it, I decided I should probably get better. Most of the time I'm just all talk in that respect... but if I wake up early and take the White Flood, I feel "ready" to tackle this particular demon, haha.
Also walked from the doc's office to my job, which is about a mile and a half, at a fast pace. It's almost 3:30pm and I haven't had to have any additional caffeine, and haven't crashed yet. Kickass.
