I assume he means Kaz in his prime.
But given that the weights have grown considerably since his time, I don't think you could take Kaz fresh out of the "time machine", and throw him into competitions.
However with access to the same training methods and drugs today's competitors are using, I have no doubt Kaz could get as strong as any of them."Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life."
"Don’t fall for the crap that people are peddling on message boards, in magazines or on TV. Get your **** in order, and get your training in order. Start kicking ass, and take out the crap that doesn’t matter. Start doing and believing in the stuff that works, and do it today and forever. You want science and studies? **** you. I’ve got scars and blood and vomit."

Depends on how you're looking at it. If you're asking if he could have been good today given he lived and trained as those of today's era have, then yeah, he probably could have been good.
However, if you're asking if you could just implant what he used to be in today's comps, then I'd say no, he wouldn't be that good. Back then it was fairly rare to get a chance just to train with the equipment. Because of that, a lot of what was done was just manhandled with no sense of technicality. That may have worked then as everyone was in the same boat. But today it's easy to get your hands on equipment. So someone with just as much strength as the next well-practiced guy wouldn't be able to hit the same numbers because of their lack of technique and experience."Rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. " 1 Timothy 4:7-8

Yeah they get tested for stuff that could potentially give them a heart attack on TV. AAS are fine for Strongman.
Kaz if around today would definitely be up there with today's access to equipment. He has got just as much talent as today's guys if not more and had ridiculous determination. He benched 300kg which barely of the strongmen today can do, apart from probably Savickas.
Personally I see him as the same as Savickas in terms of strengths, he just looked better and put more of a show on for the cameras.

Have you ever seen Kaz press a log???? he pressed the WR completely and utterly strict with complete ease. He lifted that much because he didn't have to lift more, he could of if he wanted to. His shoulders are by far his strongest asset. The only guy at the moment with comparable shoulders is Savickas, who does have stronger shoulders tbf, no one else has. Yes Kokyleav would most likely jerk a higher weight up, but Kaz would just do push press and beat him.
A 300kg bench press is a very rare lift today still. His shoulders back then was immense and still would be today.
Kaz is similar to Savickas in every way, he just looks better. Obviously strength goes up over time, but if Kaz was around today he would be comparable in strength to Savickas. They're 2 perfectly built lifting machines. The special 2 with no lifting weakness imo. Not many strength athletes out there that can say they can lift with the best in bench, ohp, squat and deadlift. Only these 2 come to mind.
An event like the Arnolds would be perfect for Kaz, he's not a lot smaller than todays strongmen.Last edited by BIG_FAT_SLAPPER; 05-18-2011 at 04:32 AM.

For the reason I put! AAS are allowed, it allows for bigger lifts and more of a spectacle. But they don't want them sniffing coke in the middle of Africa under silly temperatures while repping a 360kg deadlift 10x and having a heart attack on TV. Bodybuilding and wrestling get enough stick for steroids and heart attacks, strongman actually doesn't even after Sigmarson dying. So they probably want to keep it that way, so no coke and amphetamines means a lot less likely chance of no heart attacks. It wasn't a matter of Pudz celebrating coming 3rd and going out that night having a few lines and they DQ'd him. He was taking the coke because Viraystuck and Savickas was handing him his ass and he needed a boost.
A pretty good deal imo288 crew

I don't think Kaz in his prime would be top 10 today, or even top 20. The guys now are just at an entirely new level. The stones, log press, etc., are just so much heavier now.
637/390tng/615 - belt/wraps, best gym lifts.
600/370/600 - best competition lifts.
575/330/560 - best competition lifts at 181 raw.
