Hey OP, I think I commented in this thread a long time ago, but I've been in a really bad spot lately, one of the hardest times of my life, but I needed to thank you for putting it all in perspective. If nothing else you should know that this thread inspired many people, I hope we can find a way to share your story.
Its a long shot but just because your doctor is giving up doesn't mean you should. Your mentality is the most important thing (even in the nursing home its pounded into our head that if the client thinks they are dying then they will). Keep up hope, search for what ever treatments you can, even though I'm sure you have, and fight it until the end. I honestly do hope you make it through.Eat Right. Lift Heavy. Be a Fat Manlet.

OP I'm going to take a different angle on this altogether, a controversial one that I may be negged into the red for. As someone who's been through testicular cancer and faced the worst prospect myself I know what you're going through brah. Well, I sort of do - but people around me kept me strong, that doc shouldn't be givin you that talk man, like someone said - don't you quit just because someone else has, my markers (you'll probably know what I mean) didn't budge for the first cycle of chemo, bricks were shat, but then I started thinking differently, eating differently and convincing myself not a single fck was given and I PROMISE you they dropped, I'm here safe typing this. But you should know aswell, that when your time comes (it is for all of us in a matter of years, years fly by), you won't be hurting, and you won't know about it. Try and come to peace with the fact that you'll be missed, and judging by your posts you're a top brah so family and friends will remember the great times with you but you'll be resting. Don't be afraid of going to rest, it'll be the same sensations and feelings you had before you were born (i.e. none), you'll be cool brah, you won't know about it, and it's only a matter of time before we're all there with you anyway. Live like a fcking king brah while you can. I'm praying for you.

I've been subbed to this thread from the start, and I'm really sad to read your latest update.
I wanted to post some words of wisdom that might help you but I have none. All I can say is live your life without fear, do what you want to do and share as much as you can with your family.
Keep fighting and never give up...................No Bull$hit or E-Stats
