also tons of nurses make in the ~$40's per hour doing per diem work.
of course this guy is getting an exceptionally high salary he works in some high acuity department. this high of a salary is rare but it DOES exist.
he is easily pulling six figures per year working like 5 days per week. (albeit the days are like 13hrs long)"Radiant as the sun, Cool as the moon"

My mom is an RN and has been for 35 years and makes 103k a year. But don't kid yourself, RN's peak. Don't expect to be making $200k or something, after 100k you don't get raises.
And your friend must be working in a major city. Nurses at the Cleveland Clinic which is one, if not the BEST hospital in the country start off only making about 40-60k a year.... So I'm going to say your friend is lying or made $55 with time and half a few days that pay...| ♫Audiophile♫ | To ∞ & → | The Ohio State University Alumni |

Extremely rare to make that much, not trying to bring you down. I really doubt that is his usually salary. Especially with so little experience.
There are nurses everywhere, not very high demand where they are desperate to hire.
CNP's can make 100k, but 99% of RNs do not.
The good thing about working in a hospital though is there is typically a chance for overtime if you are willing to do it. Which can be huge boost to salary.--= C.E.O. of Pharmacy Rₓ Crew =--

This....
OP's friend is making **** up.
Like I said, my mom is making 103k a year with a 2year(back when they had nursing school in the 60's/70's lol) with 35 years exp. The head nurse on her floor has a masters and 21 years exp and only makes 112k.
Like I said, most nurses(rns) start off at 40-60k. No way in hell are they making 100k+ after 3 years with a 4 year.
Also RN's RARELY make more money in different departments(If they do, its not mind blowing). Most nurses actually start off in the ER and then as they get more exp drift into less stressful floors.| ♫Audiophile♫ | To ∞ & → | The Ohio State University Alumni |
