How many of you that lift, don't deadlift?

I'm thinking about eliminating deadlifts from my routine. They just don't appear to be worth the effort.

I know BigAnf doesn't deadlift and he has quite a good physique.

I don't but only because I am scared of messing up my back which would stop me from lifting.

It's bs u don't need deadlifts to achieve a great physique, just lift heavy and take a dbol

Edit: I stopped them cause of a tight lower back issue, but now I just do back extensions with 100lb dumbbell. Works your lower back alot better

i didn't deadlift for awhile because of a lower back injury, and now my lower back is lagging hard compared to my traps/lats ect... deadlifts are he most important lift for developing a solid lower back imo.

ive actually found from a sport performance standpoint

performing deadlifts for 3-5 sets of only 1 rep is way more benificial than 2+

i use deadlifts purely for more unit recruitment.

I will squat everyday that i can, but i deadlift maybe once a week. My deadlift numbers going up much faster since i switch to a few sets of 1 rep per week.

If you deadlift and it physically hurts you, you aren't doing it right.

If you don't do deadlifts because you're afraid to do them or you don't feel like putting in the effort, you're probably weak.

    lol at dbol statement ..

I eliminated deadlifts for over two years now.. I went to do a heavy set.. went to lift, bang.. cold sweat, goosebumps, and was my lower back was wrecked for a month.. a trainer told me that.. its not a matter "IF" you will get hurt doing DL.. its a matter of "WHEN" you will get hurt doing them..

I stick to squats.. works just as well.

this, mind blown @ mindless broscience

it might be a useful, solid workout but it is by no means necessary. Plenty of other workouts and combinations will yield good results.

I feel mild pain in my lower back every once in awhile, it's probably because of my posture though. When I lift, my back feels better than ever. Honestly, squats hurt my back more than deads but deads just require too much effort and I don't see the gains I wish to see from them, although I feel like my arms and legs are a little bigger because of them, but still, not worth while.
