Food stamps are good for the economy. For every dollar we put into food stamps, we get more out of it. Just google "Food Stamp Economy". Newt Gringrich doesn't agree to this though. It's like research money from the NIH. it stimulates the economy.
I say we keep food stamps since it helps the economy and complain about some other wasteful ways government spends our money.. like bridges to nowhere

My school is 40 plus mind away from either of my parents place. There are no real schools any closer. I have a roomate who shares rent and bills. I also do not have cable as to ease the financial burden. Kinda hard for the social life
But whatever, the tv programs are all garbage and the news is just fluff and fear mongering

I usually think the same thing when I see someone use food stamps (I'm a cashier at a grocery store). It's so hard not to judge people using food stamps, they are mostly fat pieces of **** with crap tattoos, buying alcohol with their spare money, and they complain about ****ing everything.

Used to manage a gas station and yeah, food stamps make me rage nine times out of ten. There are people out there who actually need them and use them but most of the people who have them are basically worthless or are abusing the system and don't need them at all.
There was an older couple who spent probably $200 a week or more on scratch off lottery tickets and also went to dog tracks and other gambling places and spent insane amounts of money on this crap, and paid for their food with food stamps, it boggled my mind... I was literally working to pay for these people to go to the dog track.
I've also known of plenty of people who trade their food stamps to other people for cash so they can buy cigarettes, beer, drugs, etc... bunch of low lifes.

I think for every asshat who abuses them, there are probably a hundred that really need them for a short period in their lives. I wenr on food stamps once for about three months, and they really helped me get through a rough period. I have no problem paying taxes for stuff like that. Paying taxes for wars on the other hand, makes me rage. And it should make you rage too op. Why not step back and really think about things every now and then.

Bitch in front of me at the store yesterday had her cart full of steak, shrimp, lobster, tv dinners, gatorade and bottled water. Total came to like $130. She whips out her link card and the cashier says $60 something dollars? I start laughing and say "can you believe that ****?? I am applying for one of those cards" She gave me the meanest look I have ever seen and I told her to get a ****ing job. (srs) The ****ing monkey can start eating Ramen noodles and drinking from the creek if all I care. Dont worry though, she was pregnant so she can make more money in the near future
I am seriously going to apply for one and when I get denied im going to call and complain.Current workout: Dorian Yates Blood and Guts.

Delievery driver at pizza joint and cashier/ ass't manager at restaurant.
I don't take drugs as im on several medications that would have adverse reactions with drugs. Most months I might have 20 bucks left over. I will use that to pay off credit card debt on top of minimum payments im making
For drinks, I don't drink. Grandpa and uncles are alcoholics. I drink once maybe every other month and for free as my bud is a bartender

I remember being on food stamps for a bit when I was about 9, and I **** you not...one day while we were down town at the welfare office, I saw someone pull up In a ****ing porsche I just sat there and saw this lady hop out, and get in line to get her food stamps. Pretty much decided that food stamps was the most ****ed up thing and I would ****ing work hard just to avoid it.

Proble.m here. And I say this respectfully, is that many advocate the dismissal or end to food stamps. I would rather have something where u must be somewhat productve and not violate the law.
Further I already do go to local churches for food as previously stated.
I feel that im a contributing member to society and should have the ability to get some basic assistance.for food.
I want to be clear.... I hate these pos ghetto hoodrats who abuse the system and sell dope, ride in nice cars or the preppy kids who get money and spend there link card on chips and pop
All things I get are the basics.

I rep back unless I'm on recharge (PM me if I forget). I also rep rational, cogent and skeptical arguments. Sometimes. I'm only on the misc every few days, so don't wait around.
My picture is from before I started cutting. I've made progress since then. Don't quote it as an argument against me.

Reality shows its most likely true. There are some.people that abuse it, yes, the same people who abuse the court systems, disability, unemployment, etc - but NOT the majority. I had to be on FS for a while and I hated it. But living on my own at 200/week? **** is rough man. Everyone it seems who is bitching is complaining and talking **** about less fortunate people like they DESERVE it when its a BLESSING they were born into a family where it isn't an issue - then upon seeing people less fortunate, and God forbid one person abusing the system, stereotypes and hate go into full swing - fcking absolute bull.
