yes.
1. figure out your maintenance calories.
2. figure out what exactly your goals are. example 8% bodyfat.
3. figure out approx body fat, divide by 100 then multiply that number by your weight. this is your lean body mass. (lbm) if your goal is 8% multiply your lbm by 1.08 subtract that number from your current weight. what you get is the amount of fat you will need to lose to get to 8%.
4. know that it takes 3500 calories to burn 1 pound of fat. plan on losing 1lb of fat a week. thats -500 calories from maintenance calories a day every day. you can subtract this from your maintenance cals. run it off (100 cals burnt per mile run/walk) or a combo of both.
5. work out hard in the gym every week working everybody part once a week.
6. learn to count calories in food your eating. get 1gram of protein per pound of lbm. this will assure no muscle lost!
fill the rest in with carbs and some healthy fat. drink alot of water, get a cheap multi vitamin
7. with commitment, not cheating and dedication success will come.NASM-CPT
