Nice looking workout David. Good call switching the Bradfords out if they were causing pain.
PS- Which VBS did you guys do?

Dog House Training
Hamstring and Triceps
Totals for the Week
NOTES
Progress on everything today. I dropped the weight a bit on the leg curls and pushed to hit between 10-12. By the time I got to these, my hams were pretty spent.
I spent some time in the mirror this morning and am saddened, no sickened by what I see. On the one hand, I have cut nearly all of the viseral fat, but remnants of the moobs remain. Losing the v fat is a benefit to my long term health, but not enough. I should be pleased. However, since starting this journey in October 2007, that is about all I can say. I have made gains in overall strength, but am still weak in many areas. Bodily, I look like a fitter, version of me, maybe skinnier is a better description, but not what I had hoped for when I started. From the waist up there is no shape at all. Can you tell I am frustrated?

We did Big Apple Adventure. My wife is VBS director. I am glad to have her back now that it's over.
Can't complain about that.

Good work today David. I may have missed it, but how do you do GHRs at home? They are an optional exercise for the program I'm running, but I can't figure out how to do them at home.

Any time. Works pretty well, now if I can only go down and come back up without help.
Dog House Training
Horizontal Push/Pull 8 AM - 9:15 AM
NOTES
Last weigh in was 191, hence the 191 on body weight exercises.
One mistake in my entries. The third set of floor presses was 115, not 191, I could only wish right now.
Started feeling some sciatica this weekend, indicating some inflammation of my discs, so I modified the back work a bit. I didn't want to give up the rack pulls, but did change the rows. The Krocs, allow the back to be stabilized. I will probably have to move to Front Squats on Wednesday.
Used the Inversion table, once at beginning of session, once after rack pulls and once after the cable rows. I will be using these more.David, a 56 year old pastor, husband and father.

Crazy and not a good day. Was not able to get into the Dog House to train. I am going to try in the morning.

I need to train for my sanity, not for rest.*
John, I will try to email later today. Just typical dealing with staff and officers junk.
MHL thanks for the encouragement. I do not have a cool diet spreadsheet, I use fatsecret.com. *As far as eating, I am one of those who under eats more than over eats. At moment I am just a few pounds from where I need to be weight wise for a foundation. A lean, though not BoStevus lean, 185. I had hoped that I would see a little more definition overall. Wheels are not bad all things considered, but upper body changes are uber slow and therein lies the frustration.David, a 56 year old pastor, husband and father.

Nice work pastor. The progress sure doesn't come quickly for most of us. What I found out the last couple of years is that in order to "see" the progress you have made you really have to get the BF down lower than you think. I still had a little of that side belly fat even down to 141#.

Morning David. Just playing some catchup here. I cannot comprehend this undereating problem you have

Dog House Training
Quads
NOTES
Yesterday just did not go as planned. Had car in shop early early to fix the things they broke trying to fix the things I broke. From there it was meetings, band camp shopping, more meetings, consoling the boys after more bad news, more meetings, more band camp. Got home around 10 PM.
Moved Quads to today and dropped the bicep work for today since tomorrow is Vertical Push/Pull and they will be worked tomorrow. If Sat goes as planned, I will do both Bi and triceps with the Hamstrings on Saturday.
Replaced back squats with fronts to help protect the back a bit. While the set weights are down the total tonnage was up 500lbs over last week and reps were up. Since I had not done fronts in a while, I wanted to work up the weights slowly.
While I have not had many issues logging with the new Bb set up, but I understand it is more firefox friendly than ie or chrome. I am not particularly keen on it, but can live with it. I did check out the "new site" but will not be logging there, for a variety of reasons. I already keep a log here and one other place and do not need to try to manage yet another thing. That said, I do not know how long I will stay here either. I am loyal to friends and if my friends are either sent off or leave, there is nothing here to keep me at Bb. A couple of folks I respect and like have already left, if the exodus continues... well, we will see. To be honest, I have yet to see a forum that really jumps out at me and says, "this is where I need to be."
nuff said.

I was afraid it might be staff/officer stuff, hence the addition of the "rant" part. I feel your pain, brother!
I keep hearing about this "other site," but I haven't bothered to check it out at all. I look at it this way: since I started my journal, I'd say easily 95% of my bb.com time is spent on my or others' journals. I never visit the Misc and only rarely venture in to the open Ov35 Forum anymore. Sticking to the journals has been good for avoiding unnecessary drama and silliness. But that's just my two cents, which is devalued by inflation."The LORD is my Strength and my Song, and He has become my Salvation! This is my God, and I will praise Him, my Father's God and I will exalt Him!" - Exodus 15:2

LOL, I am much the same. I made the mistake last year of posting an opinion in the MISC section and spent the next few days taking a verbal beating. I rarely venture out of the journals any more. What I was trying to say is simple. At present, a few of my "friends" and mentors on here are moving over. If all those I like and respect move on, not much use staying here talking to myself. Email is coming your way and will touch on this some more.

That's a good progression on the front squats. I see you did lunges too. That's one exercise that I really respect people for doing. Probably because of how much I dislike them.

First time stopping in David. Me likes, Must be they day for Front Squats. Nice job sir.
We all have our good days and our bad ones. What separates us is those who can turn a bad day into a good one...
When your not training or running just know no matter what some place someone is doing one more set or one more mile. Stay motivated!!!

I post in both places, and will continue to do so. I have guys (and ladies) here, there, and here and there. . I suspect there are guys here who will never go "there," and I value their opinions too much to leave here, for there. I tried to post journals in other forums, and the there just wasn't enough traffiic to make it worth my while. If you poke a bear in the eye, expect a bear like response.

Thanks for stopping by Steve. Been doing back squats, but back need some leave me alone time so I will work the front squats for a while. While I can't squat as much weight, I actually like them a lot.
I hear ya. I was at MAB a little longer than you and have developed a few relationships there, thus I stay. I just am not at a place to make a big change right now. As long as you, BoStevus, David, MHL, FIM and Phil check in periodically, I am here.
I guess I never worry about a face plant cause I am not using the 500 lbs you would probably use. To be honest, my back is more upright with a lunge than with a squat, so that should not be a worry.David, a 56 year old pastor, husband and father.

I didn't make the short list? That hurts my feelings.
(NOT serious!) Actually, I had to let you know you are making my Leg Day harder. Seeing all this talk about Lunges is really convicting me that I should probably find a way to add them back into my routine (somehow, somewhere)."The LORD is my Strength and my Song, and He has become my Salvation! This is my God, and I will praise Him, my Father's God and I will exalt Him!" - Exodus 15:2
