So a penguin escaped from a zoo on the east coast to try and get to the San Diego where the rest of his brahs were taken. He steals a car and starts driving toward Cali. On his way through New Mexico he cranks his a/c as high as it will go cause it's too damn hot for a penguin to just be drivin' around. Soon his car starts smoking and making noises, so the penguin pulls into a diner/garage. He talks with the mechanic and the mechanic starts working on his car, so the penguin heads to the diner.
"Give me the coldest thing you have", said the penguin.
"The only cold thing we have is vanilla ice cream," says the waitress.
"That will work."
Soon the waitress brings the penguin his ice cream. The penguin has no opposable thumbs to use a spoon, so he starts flinging the ice cream into his mouth using his flippers. The ice cream gets all over his face, but at least it cools him down.
A little later he heads back to the garage to check on his car.
"What's the damage?" he asks.
"It looks like you blew a seal", says the mechanic.
"Naw, it's just ice cream."

Been on the Paleo diet for the last 6-7 years.
Only thing that completely cleared my acne and stomach problems. Also cleared up my girlfriend's skin too. I had done it all, including Accutane, but it's the Paleo diet that finally cured me. I got my Mom on near-Paleo and her HDL (good cholesterol) shot through the roof.
There are promising trials that have yet to come out treating rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis with the Paleo diet as well.10 years Miscing

I eat a bit of rice too. Least worst grain, plus I'm in Korea.
People take certain grains out for certain reasons. There are anti-nutrients called phytates and there are lectins ( lectins are proteins that enter the blood stream through the wall of the intestine and cause an immune reaction or attach to certain tissues) in most other grains, which cause a host of conditions. Polished white rice is absent of those problems. It's also absent of much micronutrient content and is high on the glycemic index, so you don't want to get all of your calories from it. I just have some in a meal around my work out.
Recommend you subscribe to one of the most popular Podcasts on iTunes, the Paleolithic Solution. It's done by a biochemist who knows his nutrition stuff, and an Olympic lifting coach. Pretty funny too.10 years Miscing

people are sometimes so gullible...
so much of it is genetics...
I have personally seen it...
When i served there was guys who would drink A LOT and run circles around everyone at PT...
they never even really trained on their own...
and I mean they made like 290+/300 on Marine pfts
same in the academy, some dudes were just beast, and didnt even really have a personal workout program...
sad, but true...
this "program" doesnt work for everyone;-)

You're doing it wrong bro.
The guy has several layers of diet and eating habits and it's gonna be too much of a struggle to integrate them all at once. He's a hardcore guy and he implemented them a step at a time, I did the same too. It's too hard to do a bunch of big habit changes at once.
First do the Paleo diet for 30 days and see how you feel. This will give you 90% of the results.
Then after you are stable with the Paleo diet, start playing around with intermittent fasting and finding an amount of days that works for you.
I do the fasting simply because its simpler and more productive for me to worry about eating after work. No containers and preparing lunches and stuffing breakfast down the pipe in the morning. Really doesn't seem to offer any additional fitness benefits for me.
Search Paleolithic Solution to read / listen to over a 100 good podcasts on the paleo diet with training related information. Search leangains and check out Martin Berkhan's website to see guys who have done well with intermittent fasting (they don't all eat Paleo).10 years Miscing

The Paleolithic diet isnt a fad. paleo diet is backed by over 2 million years of survival.

whats with everyone low carb and fasting , it's become so overrated that everyone thinks there's an easy way to lose fat and stay energized.
thing is pure math, u wanna lose weight , EAT LESS TRAIN MORE . period.
and i do believe fasting is important for the body , but if followed properly, i know for fact that my gf which is a "Muslim" fast once a year for 30 days , "made a thread about her the other day".
fasting is used to cleanse ur body for all lthe toxic sh!t we've eatin during the 11 luner cycles .
best people who know how to manage their diet are eastern people, Chinese ,Japanese ,Thai's i know for a fact during my several stays in phucket, thailand.
Thai fighters regime is amazing , the energy they have doesn't deplete.
their main diet is tofu, rice balls, chicken ,beans ,fish
u wanna lose weight , and you love cardio , go for this
wake up
1) Warm up
2) 13miles. Running , usually they cover this in 1 hour to 80 mins
3)rope jumping 20 to 25 mins
4) shadowbox X5
5)punching bag X5
6)focus mits X5
7)sparing
8)combinations
9) endurance,stamina exercise(push ups,chin ups,push ups bar , sit ups,
10) Cool down stretch
all over 3 to 4 hours period
Evening
1)warming up
2) 8 miles. Running
3) Rope jumping - 20 mins
4) shadow boxing X5
5) punching bag X5
6)focus mits X5
7) Sparing
8) combinations
all over 3 to 4 hours period
food was always after trainingCherish your life. Live to tell your story

I was eating paleo for a solid year. I've been deviating from it a lot because of expense reasons and I feel like poop.
I can honestly say that when grains are in my diet I feel tired, depressed and low on energy."Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint."
