My last meal of the day, just before bed:
Cottage cheese mixed with natural low fat yoghurt, a scoop of choc casein, 15g natural PB, 15g nuts, handful of frozen berries, and sometimes an apple or mandarin.
I look forward to this meal all day lol it is delicious!

I mix my cottage cheese with many things. I really like it with peanut butter. But my favorite thing to mix it with is Sugar Free Jello Mix, either the pudding or the jello. My favorite is mixing it with the Pistachio Pudding and the lemon jello. Adds almosts no calories and makes it taste amazing. I kinda have become addicted to it. I will never need ice cream again.

In my offseason i ENJOY
-2 cups low fat or fat free cottage cheese
-1 cup of dry oats maple and brown sugar flavor
-diced strawberrys or banana, or both!
all in a bowl, mix it thoroughly with a spoon and give it about 5 mins to sit and allow the oats to saturate from the cheese
its very easy to make and delish without any guilt..

How I eat my cottage cheese - special scramble eggs!
- I put chopped mushrooms, onion, fresh chilli and garlic in a saucepan with some extra virgin olive oil, then cook up.
- Then add 3 egg whites, 1 or 2 whole eggs and a splash of milk.
- add in salt and pepper to taste and herbs such as oregano/mix herbs, etc.
- when cooked add a serving of COTTAGE CHEESE to the mixture and a small hand full of rocket leaves and stir in.
- Plate up and enjoy

Same face as above since this sounds friggin gross.
Yeah, there are some lower sodium choices though. I think they add a lot of sodium for better preservation. You usually find that cottage cheese high in sodium lasts for about 2 months. I like Friendship 2% for flavor... though I remember it being lower sodium in the past than it is now. I mix it with fresh blueberries and a tsp. of good quality honey. The Daisy brand is trash. It's incredibly salty.

I'm not sure how this thread got resurrected, but d@mn if taking the fat out of cottage cheese doesn't make a delicious food into horrible gunk.
When I was about 12 years old I discovered cottage cheese while on vacation in Belize. The resort served it as a side along with banana bread. I wound up eating my whole family's portions of it (instead of whatever the 'real breakfast' was--I don't even remember) and will now forever believe that cottage cheese + banana bread = the ideal breakfast. But that was fresh, full-fat cottage cheese."The right to be heard does not automatically include the right to be taken seriously."
