I have a co-worker who, because she's in close proximity, I speak to a lot. She's pretty funny and I don't mind talking to her but for some reason she takes every opportunity to tell me that I'm not attractive. This just happened again and it's the 5th time. Today she was talking about some guy she was flirting with in traffic on the way to work. I jokingly said that she needed to watch the road. (well...half jokingly...she DOES need to watch the road) She told me I was just jealous because I wasn't hot and that women don't flirt with me. (she always does this in a pseudo joking tone) I asked her about it point blank and she denies doing it. I'm not losing sleep over it. There's really only one person that I feel a real need to be attractive to. Anyone else is just a bonus. I'm just a bit puzzled and frankly, I'm starting to feel a bit insulted. Ok, babe, you don't think I'm hot. I get it. You can stop telling me. I believe you.

But wth? Any ideas on this? I've never encountered this before. (not women that don't think I'm hot but women that want to make it a point to tell me so)

(i work out at work over lunch) The other was when I declined to partake in a company pizza lunch because I, of course, bring my own food. (it isn't that i never eat pizza, i love that sht. but if i'm going to have a cheat meal i'll spend it with my family and on good pizza....not Pizza Hut, thank you very much). Then theres the fact that we're talking about someone that smokes heavily, drinks at some bar almost every night and sleeps with men nearly twice her age, and is a good 30 pounds overweight at least (and not in a good way). So she may very well be just trying to put me down. If this is what's going on this would be a first for me. I've never had someone do that before and it's a shame. I like her in most other respects. Ah well, I guess it doesn't matter either way.
