Seriously. With all those religions to choose from. And they're all filled with crazy stories. Time to open your eyes and think outside the box.

Decompartmentalization. They have common sense about almost everything, but choose not to think rationally when it comes to religion. Deluding themselves is too comforting.

Ok, so since it is unknowable we should just believe that there is nothing? That is what you are trying to do. You are the same as anybody who tries to shove a religion down your throat. You choose to believe in nothing. Other people choose to believe in something else. Who knows who is right?

Nah but without those stories do we really have anything to look forward to? I am all for progressive thinking but dont be so progressive that you go to another unprovable story as well.....ie big bang. Bro sometimes you just gotta believe what makes you happy.
Its called relative truth, what is true to you may not be true to me and vice versa. I can promise you one thing though, we will all find out someday. Hopefully we will live in eternal bliss with all of our loved ones. I have 2 little kids and I hope that I get forever with them, if I dont then life is seriously a pretty sick joke. When you get in the gym, hear the weights calling you out.......Then tear that mother effer down!!!!!!-me

I'm not too religious myself, and if asked I would say that I am more inclined to science. However, I still respect the right for people to be religious. What I don't respect are people like yourself who walk around thinking that common sense disproves all religions.
You don't necessarily have to believe in a creator to be "religious", as one can simply believe in a designer (i.e. the butterfly effect)
In this case, I agree.War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength.

It's not called 'relative truth' the world is full of absolute truths that can be studied, measured, and theorized by science, and there are many things that we are working on understanding.
It's called falling for an obvious cult and wasting your life with lies and delusions. Stop sheltering yourself from life and deluding yourself.4k+ rep back ALL THE TIME YO, sup sup sup.

Then you need to take a basic science class. It helps you learn to take off the tinfoil hat and actually learn something about reality, the origin of species, the universe, etc...
Anyone with a decent education knows that creation myths/religious mythology is just superstitious nonsense that is propagated by cults that want money/power/control. Two thousand years ago lots of people fell for that garbage because they didn't have the body of science and general knowledge we have these days (and we have the internet, so it's available to almost everyone). There is no excuse to be religious these days. You are weak-links of our species if you are religious. Maybe that is what 'judgement' day is, when the rif-raff of humanity, that are actually so stupid as to believe in religions, get wiped out.4k+ rep back ALL THE TIME YO, sup sup sup.

Wow, your mad bro. I am not religious at all. I dont follow any cult. I have my own beliefs, I dont impose them on anyone. Your right to a degree. Your shorter than I am so I call you short. You may be taller than someone so they call you tall. Does that make you short, tall or both? BOTH. That is a relative truth, you just got owned.
As for astro-physics being able to determine the ABSOLUTE truth of our orgins.....you again are wrong. Thats why we have "Theories" and not "Facts"..........Hate on player. When you get in the gym, hear the weights calling you out.......Then tear that mother effer down!!!!!!-me

One minute I'm robbing a dope house. Next minute I'm the youngest heavyweight champion of the world. I'm only 20, 19, with a lot of money. Who am I? What am I? I don't even know who I am. I'm just a dumb child who's being abused and robbed by lawyers. I'm just a dumb pugnacious fool. I'm just a fool who thinks he's someone. Then you tell me I should be responsible?

In a sense I believe in a greater power but I side with evolution and what not.
My main problem is that If my family found out I didn't believe in religion as much as they did they'd flip out. Around them I act like it's important and what not.
There was a saying posted before that went, "I have no problem with God, Jesus, or Allah. It's just the the blind followers that try and force their religion on me or change my beliefs.

Maybe you too are feeble minded. Your ignorance and arrogance is insulting. Maybe there will be a mass extinction of ass clowns know it alls like you too. You obviously have a problem with religion. Thats cool, I do too. But I dont dislike God or not believe in it because of what mankind has screwed up. Also, I am pretty sure that religion is a lil bit older than 2000 years...............Could be wrong though, you may wanna go check a science book bro.

because science once "proved" that the world was flat.
it's fluid and changes over time. to the credit of religious folks, their views, for the most part, haven't.
