Can you still get financial aid if your cumulative GPA is below a 2.0? I read that you can't.
How do people on Academic Probation and stuff get financial aid then? Or they don't?

I got down to a 1.72 gpa. First year at university all I did was party, damn I miss those days!
Got disqualified two times but got readmitted. Finished with a 2.8 overall gpa in Civil Engineering. Every time I got disqualified they took my financial aid away until I bumped my overall gpa above 2.0 . I would go to a Community College and took courses to better my gpa. OP, keep at it brah, get to business and hit the books. I turned it around and so can you!

You should also keep in mind that many employers (yes, that includes the military) will also pay up to 100% of the cost of a higher education. Also the GPA minimum is determined by the state for state colleges. But it's unlikely any would disperse monies to anyone that drops below 2.0. At least not without an appeal and a good reason.

To everyone else, I never said I am getting below a 2.0. I am well above it, but I was trying to figure out for one of my friends who is struggling. I searched around on my school's website but couldn't find it. I don't want him to get kicked out if he can't pay, but like I thought, the "advice" in this thread is pretty contradicting. That's why I asked because it is pretty confusing.
