This would be for my gym at home in IL which means I could lift whenever I want without driving half an hour and I could probably get some friends to join.
"Power rack with dip station, lat pull down, pull up bar, and t-bar row (comes with a veriety of attachments): $350"
The guy is also selling:
"-Fold up bench press: $100
-Power rack with dip station, lat pull down, pull up bar, and t-bar row (comes with a veriety of attachments): $350
-45lb barbell with 245lbs (two 45 lb,two 35lb, two 25lb, two 10lb, two 5lb, two 2.5lb) in plates (must buy together): $150
-Dumbells from 30-85 lb (also have a 20 lb): $0.55 a pound
-Weight tree to stack weights on, will hold 6 pairs of dumbells: $15
-Preacher curl: $75
-E-Z bar- $15
-Tricep rope: $15
-Gymnast Rings: $20
-Adjustable bench-$40"
The only other thing I could possibly use is the weights (I just need more 45's) and a decent bench. I can obviously offer the guy less but what are your guys thoughts on this rack? I've never used one like that.

What do you mean plate loaded? I believe it's one of those **** setups where you put regular round plates on (I already kind of have this at home and don't use it...rows and pullups ftw).
Agreed on both fronts. I only want to use it for squats, bench, and pullups. If I am correct the brand new price would be $500 so $350 is pretty high. I will talk him down and see where it ends up.Best Meet Lifts:

You should talk him down some. I got a rack very similar to that, a bar, 700lbs of weight, and an adjustable bench for $550.

The bar and 245lbs of weight for $150 is actually a pretty decent deal IMO. 245lbs at 50 cents a lb is $122.50. I wouldn't pay more than 50 cents a lb for used weights. $350 for the rack is a little high. Offer him $200 for the rack and see what he says. Or show up with cash in hand, make an offer on all the things you want and go from there. Money talks.

The dude seems like he isn't going to budge on price. I said something like, "I'm really only interested in the rack itself, I'll give you 250 cash", and he was like ,"I can't really break it up" and he didn't respond to me saying that it was still steep with the whole setup. Good luck to him selling that for $350...brb buying some steel and welding a better one for $200. Found 3 45's and 2 25's for $60 outside of St. Louis will pick up on way home from airport I think.

This can be had for $300. It's minus the lat pull, but it's brand new. I would not give more than $250 for the one you're looking at.1708 total @220 Raw

When I bought mine I asked myself, "Is this set up going to allow me to do everything I want/need to do at home?" and "does it fit my budget?" My answer was yes to both questions. I was on a pretty tight budget as I was trying to save money and prepare for my son's arrival. I don't know your budget, but the rack seems like a decent deal for $300 IF you can get some free weights with it. You can do pretty much everything with that particular rack.
Building your own would be pretty cool too. Then you could do it however you wanted.1708 total @220 Raw
