training notes-
pretty good day but i ran out of time for some other movements i wanted to work in (rest/pause pressing and decline work)
non-training notes-
had a great weekend. played a tournament friday and shot 77 in the morning and 75 in the afternoon (+8 for 36 holes). placed 6th, which didn't pay anything but i was pretty happy with my results. we also had relatives from my wife's side of the family staying with us and we decided to do the entire mega-loop through yellowstone national park. left friday evening, got a short rafting trip in that evening (including moose and bald eagle sightings) and then spent saturday and sunday traveling, hiking and camping in the park. i had never done the entire loop in one trip and had forgot how incredible and huge the park is
we basically followed the route on the map but in a different order. we came in through the west entrance and went 6, 4, 7, 8, 2, 3, 5, 10, 1, 9 and then back out through the same entrance
another shot of the tetons from lower mesa falls

upper mesa falls
some interesting reading for my buddy RB
tower falls
terrace falls
hungry bear that was thrashing around, eating grubs and termites. my wife was not thrilled about my proximity for this pic
all in all, an epic weekend with loads of golfing, camping, hiking and sightseeing with great company225OHP/315B/420S/505D

and one last one. we got into old faithful right after dusk and missed it going off by about 15 minutes. we heard that watching it under moonlight is pretty cool so we roamed around trying to kill some time. i went into the visitor center before it closed to use the can and found the employee rec center-pretty fawking cool. the bedwetters wouldn't unlock the door to let me in so i had to snap the pics through the window but what a beautiful facility-basically a 20,000 square foot log cabin with a full size basketball/volley ball court and weight room inside of it
this is looking across the basketball court towards some dudes getting their bro curls in
pic from floor to ceiling. entire structure was log post and beam construction with tongue and groove finish work. absolutely beautiful. i really was bummed out they wouldn't let me in for a game of H-O-R-S-E225OHP/315B/420S/505D

Rest of vacation was pretty good minus the escaped cow! Lucky me our neighbor caught her. She was pretty happy to see me when we got home.
Very nice x8 at 90%!! I think after my next competition I am going to run Macenko's again.
Okay, you any your awesome pictures. Hubs was asking me where I wanted to go on vacation and I said Idaho/Montana. Maybe we will come see you next yr!Spoon Barbell Club

thanks man. the hike to tower falls was a tough one and one of the dude's with us ripped off a toenail on the way in. luckily he is an ER doc and had a backpack full of great meds
benching was pretty solid; disappointed i missed the 365 reverse band but maybe next week. i wish that AMRAP was a true 90% instead of 90% of 90% but i'll take it. i scaled back my true 1RM's for this cycle due to crazy schedule and golf. flame away MeMu
macenko's eh? let me know your time frame and maybe we can run it together
PLEASE come up here next year-free room/board/vehicle/tour guide while you're here. i'll trade you for front squat lessons225OHP/315B/420S/505D

I was just showing my youngest your Yellowstone pictures. She was very impressed with your bear! Will work on hubs. He wants to come up that way as well. I am sure he would be MORE than willing to go fishing with you! And we can go lift at the dungeon. And I can try and give you some squat lessons! LOL!
Was thinking of running it after my competition in Oct. So maybe start mid to late Oct and finish before Christmas?Spoon Barbell Club

He hurt his back and his shoulder mobility blows goats.
So instead of spending the time working on fixing his shoulders, so he can maintain proper spinal position, he sits on a chair.
That way his delts are strong but he lacks the body symmetry and function to actually lift anything over head in a standing position.
You know, because most time you lift something over your head you're sitting down. As it would be harder to stand up, use your legs and lift to chest level..... Obviously
Luckily shoulder mobility doesn't translate to anything else in lifting or life or he would have similar problems with lifts like front squat.

nothing like ending the year with a torturous peaking program. i'm in
i hate the way you sugar coat everything. and while i agree with the majority of your post, the real life application, sans gym training, does not apply. if something is heavy and needs to be lifted above my head, a movement similar to a push press is used. i also try not to utilize the front squat method when giving piggy back rides in order to prevent crotch in my face

Its still the same movement , just adding leg drive. The only change really is the duration of the lift, which is what bothers your back in the end vs push press.

Never really started, was just a at that time thing.
Not being too serious with you. I do think you should do the mobility work before it becomes more of a problem . also that you're a lazy *******. What else is Jew though.
Also I got %100 disability rating somehow. So maybe I can stop out there sometime when we vacation and un-fcuk your front squatThe dumber people think you are, the more surprised they're going to be when you kill them. - William Clayton
