Great work on that shoulders/bro session! Big OHPs and deadly super setting. Dips +105/chins +45 SS is so badass and then going into the curls/skulls had to have the arms screaming! And looking like you lift .. your delts are exploding through that shirt
And you're allowed to skip leg day for a 14 mile hike Is that Grand Teton? How long does the hike take?
Lol'd at the golf vid .. would imagine they're wearing a few big bruises from the occasional slice

see below amigo
thanks tim
yep, saturday was a beautiful day for table mountain shenanigans
thanks man. here you go; enjoy!
my wife has expressed interest in climbing table mountain for a number of years. i think she may have been a tad overzealous after last weekends' obstacle run but she said she was up for it and we started off early saturday morning. i have done this hike several times, usually twice a year, but never with her and i normally take a more difficult but shorter route up the face
this is directly above the parking lot. you can see vehicles parked towards the bottom, right hand corner. elevation is roughly 7,100 feet but gains 400 feet in the first 1/2 mile
a pic of my beautiful wife while she was still enjoying the trip. this was a little over a mile in and just a really pretty spot with the changing fall colors
this meadow is notorious for moose activity and we stumbled upon two bulls and one cow. i was busy snapping pics of one bull with the cow laying down until my wife said "watch out dummy, there's one right in front of you". kind of weird to see bulls still paired up this time of year but they be trying to get that cow mirin'. he's hiding to the left of the rock in the center
in the middle of the red circle there was a small black bear cub scrambling around. not a great pic but he's in there somewhere225OHP/315B/420S/505D

this is a small clearing and the transition from end of the meadows and into the beginning of the switchbacks. the little nub that looks like a nipple is the final destination
another pic of table mountain from the top of the first set of switchbacks. the summit is circled in red. elevation here is ~9,000 feet
after a long traverse this is the final push that was really nasty. my wife had definite signs of altitude sickness, ie: drop step, dizzy, complete lack of breath, etc. the summit looks close but is deceiving. it is nearly a mile away at this point and took over an hour to reach it. she would literally take 10 steps, rest for a minute, take another 10 steps, rest, repeat
finally coming over the crest. she made it!225OHP/315B/420S/505D

the view to the north from the top. this is all part of caribou national forest inside of teton national park
looking down and across teton valley and the majority of the second half of the climb
and the one everyone wants to see, the grand teton on a sunny day from the summit. she is one bad b*tch. willsummitnextyear/10

I'm not much of a hiker, but that seems like you guys were moving at a strong pace.

correct. wifey was not nearly as excited about the whole ordeal once it started to get difficult. but, with lots and lots of coaxing, she did tough it out and make it to the top
dude, it was such an incredible weather days that the views were unbelievable. now we just need some snow over here to really make it worth it
thanks man. we clipped along at a pretty steady pace; nothing record breaking but short and consistent rest stops. altitude was a killer
not necessarily everyone but the teton valley is literally jam packed with outdoor enthusiasts and the majority of the trail is located within teton national park. combine those things with probably the last weekend of great weather and you have lots of hiking traffic
thanks man. good to see you single slayer man
get on it bro. i even included some frenchy french in there for you
i didn't realize you are in calgary til now. you def have some awesome areas in that region. there was a couple from canada that stayed within a few hundred yards of us at all times. they debated quitting several times and the wife said something like "ughhh i just want a cold diet coke and cheeseburger so bad". i was like "well you can get one at the top in the restaurant and then take the tram down if you're really tired".
maxtroll/10
yeah, we did aight for time but nothing spectacular. i've done it with bros much faster but it was just as enjoyable carrying my wife. rolleyes.jpg
you stay busy enough that i doubt you're just sitting around on your arse but try to get out there man. i'm not much of a serious hiker either but i do like it when there is something awesome as a reward at the top, ie: epic fresh powder, amazing view, double jointed brunette mattress thrashers with free margaritas, etc225OHP/315B/420S/505D

^^^^ I laughed when I read this
I've been there so often myself .... that scree field at the end looks terrible though .. no-one would find that fun but I have to say that the view at the end is just awesome. Good move to skip legs and do that hike!
I like your idea of deloading with heavy singles ... 280 bench deload = nice
