I did a heavy set of 1 rep, dropped 5-10 lbs then did one rep, then keep dropping weight and repeating until i hit ten reps. would it induce strength AND hypertrophy? or does it not work like that..? srs

either way im gunna try it becauase it sounds fun... lulz. gunna do it on one of my two upper days a week and gunna use mostly machines so i can change weight faster.

I'd say it's better to do the sets the other way around, so they're warm up sets instead of back off sets.
I don't think it entirely matters very damn much on what your X reps are. You'll grow at pretty much the same rate, though reps closer to maximum effort may put a plateau at bay for another week or three, from reduced the volume....
