I've been working out for awhile now and I've made progress (245-205) but I'm coming across some troubles. I had a foot injury so I lost weight by basically gaining muscle so it was slow for a time and now that my foot is healed I lost the rest with a mix of running and working out. The stage I'm at now is still fat (my original goal was 180) but I'm feeling like 180 isn't attainable because I will have too much muscle. I'm 18, 5 11" and decently built (I look very strong although I'm not) but with pretty much no tone and I want to head towards an appearance of ryan reynolds or taylor lautner. So yea I want my abs to be visible and everything else a bit bigger but the problem is I don't want to get too big looking like ronnie from jersey shore which is what is seeming to happen. Another problem is my workout seems to be worn down and really useless after so long of doing it so I should probably be changing it up but don't know much to do.
Here is my current workout:
Squats - 2 sets of 50 with 2 40 pound dumbbells
Aerobics - bout 45 minutes of things like flutters and other stuff I don't know the name of that works the obliques and back
Shadowboxing - 10 minutes with 10 pound dumbbells
Situps - 150
Crunches - 100
Bench Press - 50 reps of 80 pound (all I have right now, as much as I'd like to increase it)
1 hour run with 2 short minute sprints (1 in middle and one at end)
And here is my diet:
Breakfast 8am - eggs, toast with cheese and tomato, avocado
10am - apple
lunch 12 - turkey sandwich, yogurt
3pm - piece of fruit or something small, usually varies
4-6pm - dinner varies, usually some fish/chicken with kale
8pm - fruit or something small and green tea
I only drink water with the exception of green tea and I also have a no sugar, no cal energy drink every day in the morning (I'm trying to boost my metabolism so getting my caffeine from that).
I also have no sugar (except If I go out drinking I usually use coke to mix with rum)
So yea, that's my current routine that has been doing me good lately, what changes in workout or diet would you guys suggest if I want to lose that midsection fat or even further enhance what I have so far?
