    Eating fruits while cutting

I have few interesting questions concerning fruits and cutting.

    1. Is it good to eats fruits like apples, bananas, and oranges throughout the day?
    2. Is it good to substitute fruits for complex carbs?
    3. Is it good to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables + some protein before the workout instead of lets say potatoes, whole wheat pasta or beans + some protein

As long as things fit your macros, it doesn't matter. For me, fruits work well for energy.

Fruits are packed with micronutrients that your body needs. You should try to eat some fruit every day.

If we didn't eat fruits and vegetables, it's likely that we would get nowhere near the amount of potassium we need, unless you ate fish all day

nobody has answered this question though.

Is it a good idea to substitute carbs from fruits for all other type of carbs while cutting, why or why not?
I have a feeling if i do that, I will keep running out of energy fast which means i will eat a lot of fruit= a lot of carbs= not good for cutting

Assuming your are following the guidelines for fat and protein it really does not matter where you get your carbs from. From a pure nutritional stance its best to eat both. Fruits are caloric sparse and nutrient dense they are excellent. Complex carbs are filling and provide a steady stream of energy.

1g./lb of lean body mass - Protein

What about fructose and stuff found in yogurt, as opposed to glucose found in fruits?

Are they used the same, as glycogen?

Nobody ever got fat eating fruit.

(not entirely true - but hopefully you can see the bigger picture)

A 100 calorie apple is pretty filling, has a low glycemic index despite being filled with carbs, and is more filling than a 300-400 calorie slice of apple pie loaded with butter, flour, sugar etc. If you're already eating close to your maintenance you could push yourself over the edge with extra fruit ... but byinlarge a diet rich in fresh fruits/vegetables will be far more filling on far fewer calories than a diet of comparable total calories' worth of processed foods.

There's an opposite to the sugar in fruit that so many people fear. 80% of the calories taken in by fruit will be IMMEDIATELY used by the body as fuel. 20% will go through the liver functions. A miniscule amount of that original caloric intake might go to fat. The opposite? Fiber. Lots and lots of fiber. The more the better.

I say eat fruit, lots of it. I sure do.
