Some kind of stomach virus, lots of pooping with some nausea and general upset stomach - no fever thankfully.
Yeah, 10' ceilings in the basement. We wanted 9' but because of the grade on the lot it was actually cheaper to do 10' ceilings
lulz
And I hate doing cardio. But I know it needs to be done or I won't meet my goals, so I did it. Looking back I think my biggest mistake after waking up to explosive diarrhea was taking a pre-wo with 300 mg of caffeine.....

lol yeah the runs plus a preworkout with that much caffeine would definitely extend the burn

So while we are on the subject.....anyone have any mass gainer recommendations? My buddy struggles to gain weight - mostly from lack of trying I think, but a good mass gainer would make that a lot easier on him. Thoughts?

Same here, but he already eats close to twice as much as me, and even though he weighs 70 lbs less than me he still has only gained like 15 lbs in almost 2 years now.
We have this discussion about once a month - typically after a bench stall. He'll say "man, I just can't make progress on bench," and my response is usually "eat more....."
"I'm trying."
"Try harder."
A mass gainer just makes it easier.My Journal (RIP 05/11 - 09/13):

LOL I've put some Aquafor from the diaper bag on an irritated angus before. The baby wipes are good for making sure you get your angus nice and clean after the squirts.
Is he already on GOMAD? Those mass gainers are expensive when you look at cost per serving. I would think whole milk + whey + chocolate syrup would be a better alternative. If I had to go with a mass gainer though, I'd probably go with Universal or maybe Monster Milk. Universal seems to be good quality supps with a solid reputation. Monster Milk, I just imagine it would taste real good judging by how Muscle Milk tastes. I think I saw one by Scivation that was buy one get one free though, that might be worth looking into.Powerlifting Log - http://tinyurl.com/jshaw5

He can't drink massive amounts of milk, something about an upset stomach or sand in his vagina or I wasn't really paying attention. He mixes his protein with water usually. His birthday is coming up so I'm thinking I can get him something good and then if he starts gaining a little weight (and his lifts continue to go up) he will probably continue himself. I'm like a supp drug dealer - first one's free.

I wouldnt buy any mass gainers. I did however see that Scivation's gainer in $30 on another site.
Every morning I eat/drink: 2c Milk, 1/2c oats, 2 scoops protein, 1 or 2 tbsn of peanut butter either as part of a PBJ or just on a spoon.
Tell your frind to bookend his days with that homemade gainers. Actually gainers make as supplements are crap and mostly fillers.
BTW....glad you are off the stool.Home Journal: Me vs. Myself @.....http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=125942203

I took vids of the first and last sets to show the difference in speed. Hard to tell just watching, but while editing I slowed it down to frame by frame and the 2nd rep of my first set took 1.4 seconds while the 2nd rep of my last set took just 1.2 seconds. That is a pretty big difference, and I'm pretty sure it means I'm doing these right.

Vertical Jump Bible - Intermediate Plyometrics Program
Phase I, Week 1 complete
Bent over straight legged donkey ankle bounce - 3x30
1-2-3 jump - 3x4
Rhythmic ¼ jump squat - 3x8
Broad Jump - 3x6
Low box depth jumps - 3x5
Low squat ankle jumps - 3x40
Thanks to Hish for recommending this to me!
The program calls for 4 sets of everything, but being my first time doing all of these I cut it back just a tad. I think I will be feeling these tomorrow.

Notes:
So I read 90% of the Vertical Jump Bible over the past 2 days and it seems to be exactly what I was looking for. It's nice because they have different programs for people with super strong legs and little to no reactive jumping ability (what I'm following), as well as the opposite, and those who are in between. It fits right in with my routine, I just needed some better exercises beyond the box jumps I've been doing, and boy does this thing have a ton of different exercises.
I'm headed to the gym on Saturday and should finally be able to play some basketball. Gonna try to get a video of me touching the rim as sort of a baseline, then when I finish this vertical program in 12 weeks I'll get a vid of me dunking Hopefully at least. My Journal (RIP 05/11 - 09/13):

Oh yeah, so with my last order from BB.com I got a nifty little body tape measurement thing that I used to take measurements for the first time ever.....
Calf: 17"
Thigh: 28"
Waist: 37"
Chest: 45"
Upper Arm: 16"
Forearm: 13"
Neck: 17"
Really this means nothing to me, but will be a good point of reference for the future. My Journal (RIP 05/11 - 09/13):

So far so good. Nothing changed much from the pics I posted on the last page. Plumbing has been inspected and approved, brick is going up middle of next week probably - I'll definitely get some pics up of the brick.
Thanks man, hopefully it pays off for me, can't wait to see how well this jumping program works. My Journal (RIP 05/11 - 09/13):
